“Vitelloni” was the term used to refer to young men without jobs in Pescara, Italy, after World War II. The film takes this name as it tells the story of a group of five young men who spend their days doing nothing, wandering day and night. Without dreams or ambitions, they live marked by frustration and the misunderstanding of their families. This lifestyle annoys the local citizens, a society that places great importance on work and effort.

An unexpected event will force Fausto, the protagonist, to integrate into the system he has long avoided.
