Flores de cant\u00f3n y lurigancho","desc_ca":"<div class=\"first column\">\r\n\r\nLa galeria Miguel Marcos comen\u00e7a la temporada 2023 \u2013 2024 amb una exposici\u00f3 dedicada a Pepe Cobo que t\u00e9 per t\u00edtol:\u00a0<em>Flores de Cant\u00f3n y Lurigancho.<\/em>\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nConegut galerista, tant a Sevilla com a Madrid, amb sales d\u2019art a les dues ciutats com tamb\u00e9 a Lima, Per\u00fa, Pepe Cobo presenta a Barcelona un projecte singular que constitueix una clara aposta per un discurs conceptual, a trav\u00e9s de la tradici\u00f3.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nLes obres exposades estan basades en els dibuixos i brodats dels mantons de Manila, procedents de la Xina. En les cultures precolombines, aquestes peces t\u00e8xtils eren considerades distintiu de riquesa i prestigi. Tenien el seu simbolisme i eren utilitzades en una gran diversitat de contextos. A partir dels elements ja esmentats \u2013 mant\u00f3 de Manila \u2013\u00a0\u00a0tamb\u00e9 hi cal afegir peces de cer\u00e0mica i altres objectes, tot plegat amb la finalitat de dotar a l\u2019exposici\u00f3 d\u2019un fort discurs art\u00edstic, reivindicant el t\u00e8xtil i la cer\u00e0mica com un art major.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nEl 1565 el monarca Felip II va instaurar una ruta comercial, anomenada\u00a0<em>Ruta de Manila<\/em>, que enlla\u00e7ava aquesta ciutat amb Sevilla, passant per Acapulco i Veracruz. Aix\u00f2 passava tres cops l\u2019any, temps que durava la travessia. A l\u2019interior dels vaixells es transportaven objectes que es consideraven ex\u00f2tics, esp\u00e8cies, mobles, teles, etc., tots de gran valor i que passaven a mans de persones d\u2019alt poder adquisitiu, all\u00e0 on arribaven les mercaderies. Un dels ports de desc\u00e0rrega era Acapulco, pagant-se aquests tresors amb els diners procedents dels Virregnats del Per\u00fa i M\u00e8xic, fomentant aix\u00ed el sorgiment dels mercaders locals que van traficar amb aquests materials.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"last column\">\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n\u201cEl Mant\u00f3n de Manila\u201d va ser un d\u2019entre aquells objectes el que va aconseguir rellev\u00e0ncia i influ\u00e8ncia per la seva esveltesa, delicadesa, finor i aristocr\u00e0cia, bellesa que, paulatinament va anar contagiant a la cultura popular, traduint-se en diversos elements com teles, coixins, polleres, vestits realitzats amb materials modestos\u2026 La seva vig\u00e8ncia en l\u2019actualitat \u00e9s molt notable, al igual que les repercussions a altres \u00e8poques com el vestit i la pe\u00e7a popular,\u00a0\u00a0verbigr\u00e0cia a \u201cLas Tapades\u201d al Per\u00fa durant els segles XVIII i XIX.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nAquesta exposici\u00f3 \u00e9s el fruit del descobriment d\u2019un conjunt d\u2019elements iconogr\u00e0fics representats en peces de roba, objectes, quadres d\u2019usos diversos amb els que Pepe Cobo vol expressar un nou enfocament sobre les cru\u00eflles del mestissatge de cultures, a m\u00e9s de facilitar que els mateixos objectes tinguin una vida pr\u00f2pia.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nUns fragments de Mantons de Manila originals, selectivament manipulats, s\u00f3n lliurats als interns de la Pres\u00f3 de Lurigancho a Lima, que treballen, fil a fil, i dia a dia, l\u2019acabat d\u2019aquests tapissos. D\u2019aquesta manera, l\u2019art es converteix en un element alliberador en la mesura que els presoners redimeixen part de la condemna pels dies treballats. En las culturas pre-colombinas, las piezas t\u00e9xtiles eran consideradas s\u00edmbolo de riqueza y prestigio. Ten\u00edan su significado y eran utilizados en una gran diversidad de contextos. A partir de los elementos ya mencionados \u2013 mant\u00f3n de Manila \u2013 a los que tambi\u00e9n hay que a\u00f1adir piezas de cer\u00e1mica, etc. se pretende dotar a la exposici\u00f3n de un fuerte discurso art\u00edstico, reivindicando el textil y lo cer\u00e1mico como un arte mayor.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nEn 1565 el monarca Felipe\u00a0II instaur\u00f3 una ruta comercial,\u00a0la llamada Ruta de Manila,\u00a0que enlazaba esa ciudad\u00a0con Sevilla, pasando por\u00a0Acapulco y Veracruz. Uno de los\u00a0puertos de descarga era\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"last column\">\r\n<p class=\"split\">Acapulco, pag\u00e1ndose estos tesoros con el dinero procedente de los Virreinatos de Per\u00fa y M\u00e9xico, fomentado de este modo el surgimiento de mercaderes locales que traficaron con ello.<\/p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n\u201cEl Mant\u00f3n de Manila\u201d fue uno de entre aquellos objetos que alcanz\u00f3 relevancia e influencia por su esbeltez, delicadeza, finura y aristocr\u00e1tica belleza que paulatinamente fue contagiando a la cultura popular, traduci\u00e9ndose en variados elementos tales como telas, cojines, polleras, trajes realizados con materiales modestos\u2026 Su vigencia es hoy muy notable, as\u00ed como sus secuelas en otras \u00e9pocas como traje y prenda popular, verbigracia en \u201cLas Tapadas\u201d en Per\u00fa durante los siglos XVIII y XIX.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nEsta exposici\u00f3n es el fruto del descubrimiento de un conjunto de elementos iconogr\u00e1ficos representados en prendas, objetos, cuadros, de usos diversos con los que Pepe Cobo pretende expresar un nuevo enfoque sobre las encrucijadas del mestizaje de culturas, adem\u00e1s de facilitar que los mismos objetos tengan una vida propia. Por ello unos fragmentos de Mantones de Manila originales, selectivamente manipulados, son puestos en manos de los internos de la C\u00e1rcel de Lurigancho en Lima que son los que elaboran hilo a hilo, y d\u00eda a d\u00eda, el acabado de estos tapices. De esta manera el arte se convierte en un elemento liberador en la medida en que los reos redimen parte de su condena por los d\u00edas trabajados. By tradition, it founds a clear commitment to a conceptual discourse.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nWorks exhibited are made by drawings and embroideries of\u00a0<em>\u201cMantones de Manila\u201d\u00a0<\/em>(Manila Shawls), from China. In pre-Columbian cultures, textile pieces were considered a symbol of wealth and prestige. They have a special meaning, and they were used in a wide variety of contexts. These treasures were paid with money coming from Peru and Mexico Viceroyships thus spurring the growth of local merchants who trafficked with them.<\/p>\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\n\u201cEl Mant\u00f3n de Manila\u201d (embroidered silk shawl) was one of those objects that reached significance and importance due to its slender, refined, delicate and aristocratic beauty that slowly impregnated popular culture. Some examples of this influence can be found in fabrics, pillows, skirts, suits tailored with humble materials. Its presence was really huge in the past as popular clothing and garments for instance in Las Tapadas (veiled women) in Peru during XVIII and XIX centuries.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n\r\nThis exhibition stems from the discovery of a set of iconographic elements represented in clothes, objects and paintings of different use with which Pepe Cobo tries to offer a new perspective on the mixing of cultures. Besides, he wanted the objects to have a life of its own. This is how some fragments from genuine Mantones de Manila, selectively manipulated, are handed to some prisoners at Lurigancho Jail in Lima who craft thread by thread, and day by day, the finishing process of these tapestries. This art becomes a liberating factor whilst the inmates working redeem part of their sentence.
