Les teles seleccionades a intervenir s\u00f3n teixits intricats fets a m\u00e0, hist\u00f2ricament associats amb all\u00f2 femen\u00ed i all\u00f2 dom\u00e8stic. Es col\u00b7loquen en el context d\u2019una galeria com a objectes trobats, a m\u00e9s de dialogar amb les fotografies que s\u2019hi han tradu\u00eft sobre ells. La tranquil\u00b7la naturalesa repetitiva de les teles i les fotografies que evoquen diferents exemples de \u201cmanteniment\u201d (de la terra, la llar, la ment i el cos, aix\u00ed com un manteniment m\u00e9s te\u00f2ric de les estructures socials\/pol\u00edtiques) teixeixen una constel\u00b7laci\u00f3 que proposa una reavaluaci\u00f3 del progr\u00e9s i el manteniment. El treball explora la narrativa del treballador de manteniment contemporani, a l\u2019era de la sobresaturaci\u00f3, la sobreprescripci\u00f3 i la polaritzaci\u00f3 extrema. Tots som treballadors de manteniment? The work references \u201cManifesto for Maintenance Art\u201d (Laderman Ukelis 1969) which discusses how society is divided into two basic systems: development and maintenance. Development, associated with the avant-garde, the individual, and the innovative, and maintenance, associated with tasks of preservation, repetition and care. The fabrics are handmade, intricately woven textiles historically associated with the feminine, and the domestic. They are brought into a gallery context as found objects, as well as to be in dialogue with the photographs that have been translated onto them. The quiet repetitive nature of the fabrics and the photos representing different examples of \u201cmaintenance\u201d (of the earth, the household, the mind and body, as well as a more theoretical maintenance of social\/political structures) weave together a constellation that proposes a reevaluation of progress and maintenance. The work explores what the narrative of the maintenance worker looks like today, in the age of over-saturation, overprescription, and extreme polarization. Are we all maintenance workers?
