La meva mare va viure a S\u00e3o Paulo (1957-1969) abans de tornar a Europa (FR, ES) per continuar estudiant arquitectura. Aquest territori, pel qual m\u2019he sentit especialment atreta des de petita, simbolitza alguna cosa desconeguda per\u00f2, a la vegada, relativament propera. Aquesta s\u00e8rie de 20 pintures narra el meu primer viatge pel Brasil mitjan\u00e7ant una col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 d\u2019imatges llunyanes i gaireb\u00e9 t\u00e8nues. Durant el proc\u00e9s, en primer lloc em vaig apropiar de la realitat circumdant capturant el present a trav\u00e9s de la fotografia. Posteriorment, representant-la a trav\u00e9s de la pintura, vaig revelar un cert estat. Cada obra est\u00e0 enfocada i fitada de manera precisa jugant amb la composici\u00f3 original, de vegades fins i tot alterant-la. Este territorio, por el cual me he sentido especialmente atra\u00edda desde peque\u00f1a, simboliza algo desconocido pero, al mismo tiempo, relativamente cercano. Esta serie de 20 pinturas narra mi primer viaje por Brasil a trav\u00e9s de una colecci\u00f3n de im\u00e1genes lejanas y casi tenues. Durante el proceso, en primer lugar me apropi\u00e9 de la realidad circundante capturando el presente a trav\u00e9s de la fotograf\u00eda. Posteriormente, represent\u00e1ndola a trav\u00e9s de la pintura, revel\u00e9 un cierto estado. Cada obra est\u00e1 enfocada y acotada de manera precisa jugando con la composici\u00f3n original, a veces incluso alter\u00e1ndola. Mediante el gesto y la luz, cuerpos sin rostro, plantas y objetos retratan diversas condiciones inciertas contempladas, por lo que \u00abla calidez es s\u00f3lo el calor recordado\u00bb.","desc_en":"\u201cFrom Brazil with Warmth\u201d poetically addresses climate as a major force in our ways of living by focusing on the interplay between architecture, the environment, and humans. My mother lived in S\u00e3o Paulo (1957-1969) before going back to Europe (FR, ES) to continue studying architecture. This territory, to which I have been particularly drawn ever since I was young, symbolizes something unknown but, at the same time relatively close. This series of 20 paintings narrates my first journey around Brazil through a distant and almost faint collection of images. During the process, first I appropriated the surrounding reality by capturing the present through photography. Then, by its representation through painting, I revealed a certain state. Each piece is precisely zoomed and framed, playing with the original composition, sometimes even altering it.
