Al llarg de 4 sessions modelarem atuells per a la construcci\u00f3 d'un sistema de regadiu que t\u00e9 com a finalitat aprofitar l'aigua de manera eficient i sostenible durant els mesos d'estiu.\r\n\r\nSeran sessions teoricopr\u00e0ctiques on a part de treballar amb les mans busquem documentar i repensar la terrisseria com a tecnologia per a contribuir a la regeneraci\u00f3 i sostenibilitat d'entorns urbans.\r\n\r\nMaria Roy i Jocelyn Mu\u00f1oz seran les responsables de conduir el taller on proposaran una recerca territorial de la terrisseria des de dues mirades i territoris diferents: Catalunya i Valpara\u00edso (Xile).\r\n\r\nS'utilitzaran recursos locals (argiles extretes de solars del Poble Nou) i processos tradicionals.\r\n\r\n \r\n

bios<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nMaria Roy\u00a0<\/strong>(Barcelona, 1993) \u00e9s\u00a0artista i dissenyadora que treballa amb t\u00e8cniques d'artesania tant tradicionals com experimentals per a explorar i assimilar el m\u00f3n que l'envolta.\u00a0 El seu principal tema d'estudi \u00e9s la terra, com a mat\u00e8ria viva que narra sobre la hist\u00f2ria, la pol\u00edtica i ecologia des del local.\u00a0 Utilitzant els recursos que la terra proporciona, forma escultures cer\u00e0miques que es\u00a0vinculen estretament\u00a0amb\u00a0el context geogr\u00e0fic on\u00a0desenvolupa la seva pr\u00e0ctica. Amb un gran inter\u00e8s per la cer\u00e0mica com a material arqueol\u00f2gic, t\u00e9 com a objectiu recuperar narratives que ens connectin amb el medi ambient a trav\u00e9s d'objectes.\u00a0Durant els \u00faltims anys, Maria ha estat docent\u00a0en el\u00a0Grau d'Arts i Disseny<\/em>\u00a0a l'Escola Massana i imparteix tallers de cer\u00e0mica amb l'objectiu de vincular la comunitat amb l'entorn\u00a0 i\u00a0els seus recursos. A m\u00e9s, comparteix coneixements de cer\u00e0mica a La Escocesa.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nJocelyn Mu\u00f1oz B\u00e1ez\u00a0<\/strong>Investigadora i productora visual, amb un enfocament transdisciplinari que integra art i etnografia. T\u00e9 una \u00e0mplia experi\u00e8ncia en la gesti\u00f3 d'espais d'art, curadur\u00eda i doc\u00e8ncia. Actualment cursant un m\u00e0ster en Antropologia i Etnografia en la Universitat de Barcelona. T\u00e9 un m\u00e0ster en estudis de cultura visual, on es va centrar en arxiu i pol\u00edtiques de representaci\u00f3. \u00c9s creadora del programa de recerca expandida D\u00e9_Tour [etnografia i derives]: eina metodol\u00f2gica que ha explorat la relaci\u00f3 entre documents visuals, mem\u00f2ria social i pr\u00e0ctiques visuals i pol\u00edtiques a Xile i Llatinoam\u00e8rica.\r\n

A lo largo de 4 sesiones modelaremos vasijas para la construcci\u00f3n de un sistema de regad\u00edo que tiene como finalidad aprovechar el agua de manera eficiente y sostenible durante los meses de verano.\r\n\r\nSer\u00e1n sesiones te\u00f3rico-pr\u00e1cticas donde aparte de trabajar con las manos buscamos documentar y repensar\u00a0la alfarer\u00eda como tecnolog\u00eda para contribuir a la regeneraci\u00f3n y sostenibilidad de entornos urbanos.\r\n\r\nMaria Roy y Jocelyn Mu\u00f1oz ser\u00e1n las responsables de conducir el taller donde propondr\u00e1n una investigaci\u00f3n territorial de la alfarer\u00eda desde dos miradas y territorios distintos: Catalu\u00f1a y Valpara\u00edso (Chile).\r\n\r\nSe utilizar\u00e1n recursos locales (arcillas extra\u00eddas de solares del Poble Nou)\u00a0y procesos tradicionales.\r\n\r\n \r\n

Over 4 sessions we will model pots for the construction of an irrigation system that aims to use water efficiently and sustainably during the summer months.\r\n\r\nThese will be theoretical-practical sessions where, apart from working with our hands, we seek to document and rethink pottery as a technology to contribute to the regeneration and sustainability of urban environments.\r\n\r\nMaria Roy and Jocelyn Mu\u00f1oz will be responsible for leading the workshop where they will propose a territorial investigation of pottery from two different perspectives and territories: Catalonia and Valparaiso (Chile).\r\n\r\nLocal resources (clays extracted from plots of land in Poble Nou) and traditional processes will be used.\r\n\r\n \r\n

session 1<\/h5>\r\nTuesday 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0July from 18 to 21h\r\nTheoretical-practical session (3h)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nFrom 18h to 19h<\/strong>\r\nIntroduction to the course: what is clay, where is it found, how to identify clay, types of clay, how to classify it and how to process it.\r\n\r\nFrom 19h to 21h<\/strong>\r\nCollecting soil from the neighbourhood's wastelands and processing the soil to obtain clay pastes.\r\n
session 2<\/h5>\r\nTuesday 9th<\/sup>\u00a0July from 18 to 21h\r\nTheoretical-practical session (3h)<\/strong>\r\n\r\nFrom 18h to 19h<\/strong>\r\nWe will talk about the use of ceramics as an irrigation system, its history and we will see examples in different cultures.\r\n\r\nFrom 19h to 21h<\/strong>\r\nIntroduction to the two modelling techniques we will use: churro and pinch technique.\r\n
Session 3<\/h5>\r\nTuesday 16th<\/sup>\u00a0July from 18h to 21h<\/strong>\r\n\r\nPractical session (3h)<\/strong>\r\nThe third session will be entirely practical and we will model the pots.\r\n

bios<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nMaria Roy<\/strong>\u00a0(Barcelona, 1993) is an artist and designer who works with both traditional and experimental craft techniques to explore and assimilate the world around her. Her main subject of study is the earth, as living matter that narrates about history, politics and ecology from the local. Using the resources that the earth provides, she forms ceramic sculptures that are closely linked to the geographical context in which she develops her practice. With a keen interest in ceramics as an archaeological material, she aims to recover narratives that connect us to the environment through objects. Over the last few years, Maria has been teaching on the Arts and Design Degree at the Massana School and teaches ceramics workshops with the aim of linking the community with the environment and its resources. She also shares her knowledge of ceramics at La Escocesa.\r\n\r\nJocelyn Mu\u00f1oz B\u00e1ez<\/strong>\u00a0Researcher and visual producer, with a transdisciplinary approach that integrates art and ethnography. She has extensive experience in the management of art spaces, curatorship and teaching. She is currently studying for a master's degree in Anthropology and Ethnography at the University of Barcelona. She has a master's degree in visual culture studies, where she focused on archiving and politics of representation. She is the creator of the expanded research programme D\u00e9_Tour [ethnography and drifts]: a methodological tool that has explored the relationship between visual documents, social memory and visual and political practices in Chile and Latin America.\r\n\r\n \r\n
