Susana Pozo","desc_ca":"Sota el t\u00edtol\u00a0<em>Mem\u00f2ria material<\/em>\u00a0Susana Pozo presenta diverses obres pertanyents a tres s\u00e8ries elaborades durant els \u00faltims anys:\u00a0<em>Naturalia<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Cossos votius<\/em>\u00a0i<em>\u00a0L\u2019ull buit del temps<\/em>.\r\n\r\nLes peces de\u00a0<em>Naturalia<\/em>\u00a0remeten a les diferents mostres del m\u00f3n animal i vegetal que acollien les\u00a0<em>wunderkammer<\/em>\u00a0renaixentistes, aquells gabinets de curiositats, avantpassats dels nostres museus, on la ci\u00e8ncia i l\u2019art compartien espai i meravellaven per igual als seus privilegiats espectadors.\r\n\r\n<em>Cossos votius<\/em>, per la seva banda, posa el focus en una mena de manifestaci\u00f3 cultural fins fa ben poc arraconada en estudis antropol\u00f2gics, els exvots, reproduccions de parts del cos hum\u00e0 que creients de diferents \u00e8poques i confessions han utilitzat com a ofrenes a la divinitat. Considerant-les aut\u00e8ntiques manifestacions de l\u2019expressivitat popular, Susana Pozo ha rescatat aquestes representacions i les ha inserit en un discurs contemporani que oscil\u00b7la entre all\u00f2 informal i figuratiu.\r\n\r\nTamb\u00e9 se situen en un espai liminar les peces de\u00a0<em>L\u2019ull buit del temps<\/em>. Les figures humanes que les protagonitzen apareixen sovint reenquadrades, a\u00efllades entre si per la rigidesa del seu propi espai. Consider\u00e1ndolas aut\u00e9nticas manifestaciones de la expresividad popular, Susana Pozo ha rescatado estas representaciones y las ha insertado en un discurso contempor\u00e1neo que oscila entre lo informal y lo figurativo.\r\n\r\nTambi\u00e9n se sit\u00faan en un espacio liminar las piezas de\u00a0<em>El ojo vac\u00edo del tiempo<\/em>. Las figuras humanas que las protagonizan aparecen a menudo reencuadradas, aisladas entre s\u00ed por la rigidez de su propio espacio. Pese a abordar tem\u00e1ticas tan contempor\u00e1neas como la incomunicaci\u00f3n y la soledad, esta \u00faltima serie pretende asimismo establecer un nexo con el arte arcaico mediante el trabajo con siluetas que, por su gestualidad y su textura, evocan restos pict\u00f3ricos de la Antig\u00fcedad maleados por el paso de los siglos.","desc_en":"Pozo from three series produced over the last few years:\u00a0<em>Naturalia<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Cuerpos votivos<\/em>\u00a0(Votive Bodies) and\u00a0<em>El ojo vac\u00edo del tiempo<\/em>\u00a0(The Empty Eye of Time).\r\n\r\nThe pieces in\u00a0<em>Naturalia<\/em>\u00a0refer to the different displays of the animal and plant world that were housed in the Renaissance\u00a0<em>wunderkammer<\/em>, those cabinets of curiosities, ancestors of our museums, in which the scientific and the artistic shared space and equally astonished their privileged spectators.\r\n\r\n<em>Votiv Bodies<\/em>, on the other hand, focuses on a type of cultural manifestation that was until recently neglected in anthropological studies: votive offerings, reproductions of parts of the human body that believers from different periods and confessions have used as offerings to the divinity. Considering them authentic manifestations of popular expressiveness, Susana Pozo has rescued these representations and inserted them into a contemporary discourse that oscillates between the informal and the figurative.\r\n\r\nThe pieces in\u00a0<em>El ojo vac\u00edo del tiempo<\/em>\u00a0(The Empty Eye of Time) are also situated in a liminal space. The human figures in them are often reframed, isolated from each other by the rigidity of their own space.
