Qu\u00e8 \u00e9s \u00abel que hi ha\u00bb? Una vida-mercat, una vida que coincideix amb el mercat, una vida confosa amb el mercat a trav\u00e9s de les seves mil tecnologies quotidianes.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"ca\">En el mateix pensament cr\u00edtic domina una certa delectaci\u00f3 en la impot\u00e8ncia: una descripci\u00f3 interminable de la nostra submissi\u00f3 a la vida-mercat i de com aquesta absorbeix fins i tot els intents de resist\u00e8ncia i fugida. La cr\u00edtica s\u2019ha tornat <\/span><em><span lang=\"ca\">victimista<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ca\">: es complau a repetir una vegada i una altra una den\u00fancia que no fa canviar res.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"ca\">No trobem res d\u2019aix\u00f2 en llegir, en rellegir avui dia, Herbert Marcuse, obstinat durant tota la vida a localitzar les \u00abvies de fugida\u00bb que permeten desbloquejar les situacions tancades. Aquestes vies de fugida s\u00f3n al mateix temps negatives i afirmatives. El patiment que diu NO (al que hi ha) i l\u2019anhel que diu S\u00cd (al que <\/span><em><span lang=\"ca\">podria haver-hi<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ca\">). El que Marcuse va anomenar el \u00abGran Rebuig\u00bb i les \u00abutopies concretes\u00bb.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"ca\">Marcuse va trobar aquestes potencialitats de canvi i transformaci\u00f3 essencialment en l\u2019\u00e0mbit dels afectes, de l\u2019est\u00e8tica i de la pol\u00edtica revolucion\u00e0ria. I avui? Existeix, encara \u2013i quina seria\u2013, la potencialitat subversiva d\u2019Eros, de l\u2019art i l\u2019est\u00e8tica, de l\u2019acci\u00f3 pol\u00edtica i col\u00b7lectiva? La cr\u00edtica se ha vuelto <\/span><em><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">victimista<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">: se complace en repetir una y otra vez una denuncia que no cambia nada.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">Nada de eso encontramos al leer, al releer hoy, a Herbert Marcuse, empe\u00f1ado durante toda su vida en localizar las \u00abv\u00edas de fuga\u00bb que permiten desbloquear las situaciones cerradas. Esas v\u00edas de fuga son a la vez negativas y afirmativas. El sufrimiento que dice NO (a lo que hay) y el anhelo que dice S\u00cd (a lo que <\/span><em><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">podr\u00eda haber<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">). Lo que Marcuse llam\u00f3 el<\/span><em><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">\u00abGran Rechazo\u00bb y las \u00abutop\u00edas concretas\u00bb.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"ES-TRAD\">Marcuse encontr\u00f3 esas potencialidades de cambio y transformaci\u00f3n esencialmente en el \u00e1mbito de los afectos, de la est\u00e9tica y de la pol\u00edtica revolucionaria. \u00bfY hoy? \u00bfExiste a\u00fan \u2013y cu\u00e1l ser\u00eda\u2013 la potencialidad subversiva de Eros, del arte y la est\u00e9tica, de la acci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica y colectiva? \u00bfSon agujeros y fallas en el continuo totalitario de la vida-mercado?<\/span>","desc_en":"<b>Lecture by Amador Fern\u00e1ndez-Savater.<\/b>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\">The \u201ccapitalist realism\u201d that has taken hold in our societies could be summarised by a single, commonly used expression: \u201cIt is what it is.\u201d But what does \u201cwhat it is\u201d mean? A market-life, a life that coincides with the market, a life that is confused with the market through its myriad everyday technologies.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\">Critical thinking per se is dominated by a kind of delight over powerlessness: endless descriptions of our submission to market-life, of how it absorbs even attempts at resistance and escape. Criticism has become <\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">victimising<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">, content to repeat over and over again a complaint that changes nothing.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\">This is not the case when reading, or rereading today, Herbert Marcuse, who throughout his life was determined to locate the \u201cescape routes\u201d that help to unblock closed situations. These escape routes are both negative and affirmative. The suffering that says NO (to what is) and the longing that says YES (to what <\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">could be<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">). Marcuse called this \u201cThe Great Refusal\u201d and \u201cconcrete utopias\u201d.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\">Marcuse found these potentials for change and transformation primarily in the realms of feelings, aesthetics and revolutionary politics. And today? Does the subversive potential of Eros, art, aesthetics, and political and collective action still exist, and what would it be?
