Lucas\u2019 work sets out from the conviction that all art is political, like Ranci\u00e8re or Jaar, for whom images play an active part in configuring the world.\r\n\r\nThe exhibition is approached as a journey through the four industrial revolutions that, since the 18th century, transformed the economy, culture and forms of colonialism. The first Industrial Revolution, based on coal, ushered in the era of the steam engine and the mass move from countryside to town. The second, dominated by oil, consolidated global capitalism and placed energy at the centre of geopolitics. The third, linked to Silicon Valley, brought in the digital paradigm and control of data as a new form of power. The fourth, centring on artificial intelligence, involves far-reaching changes in subjectivity, ethics and the notion of humanity, in which the self becomes public, massive and hypervisual.\r\n\r\nLucas invites us to observe that technical and economic progress is not neutral, but a symbolic and material battleground. She uses triptychs made from the materials of each revolution\u2014coal, oil, silicon, microchips\u2014to construct a material narrative of history. The piece El anciano de los d\u00edas (W. The exhibition is in partnership with the Fundaci\u00f3n Vent\u00f3s, which creates smells to accompany the works, so that the idea of revolution is carried over into the sensory, emotional area of olfactory memory.","event_category":103,"event_show_only_own_date":true,"_event_confirmed":true,"_event_public":true,"_event_free":false,"_event_price-min":8,"_event_price-max":12,"_event_web_ca":"https:\/\/museutapies.org\/exposicio\/cristina-lucas-e-conmotion\/","_event_web_es":"https:\/\/museutapies.org\/es\/exposicio\/e-conmotion\/","_event_web_en":"https:\/\/museutapies.org\/en\/exposicio\/cristina-lucas-e-conmotion\/","event_contact_email":"","event_apply_email":"","is_online_event":false,"is_art_nou_event":false,"is_bgw_event":false,"date_text":"","register_deadline":null,"altres_organitzadors":""},"abe_event_venue":"Museu T\u00e0pies","abe_event_category":"Exposici\u00f3","start":"2026-10-15 00:00:00","end":"2027-02-07 23:59:00","schedule":"once","schedule_meta":"","frequency":1,"all_day":1,"until":"2026-10-15 00:00:00","include":[],"exclude":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/events\/55073","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/events"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/event"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/8"}],"occurrences":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/events\/55073\/occurrences"}],"acf:term":[{"embeddable":true,"taxonomy":"event-category","href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event-category\/103"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/55076"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=55073"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"event-venue","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event-venues?post=55073"},{"taxonomy":"event-tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/graf.cat\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/event-tags?post=55073"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
