La seva pr\u00e0ctica art\u00edstica explora la intersecci\u00f3 entre la mem\u00f2ria personal i la col\u00b7lectiva, i tracta temes com la lluita contra l\u2019apartheid o les pol\u00edtiques repressives dels colons sobre la poblaci\u00f3n aut\u00f2ctona.\r\n\r\nLa seva obra, polif\u00f2nica i interdisciplin\u00e0ria, transita entre la pintura, el dibuix i el fet cinematogr\u00e0fic combinant l\u2019\u00edntim amb l\u2019hist\u00f2ric i el simb\u00f2lic amb el pol\u00edtic. Entre els seus projectes m\u00e9s significatius destaca\u00a0<em>Shame\u00a0<\/em>(Vergonya), un extens corpus d\u2019obres en qu\u00e8 cossos encongits o dilu\u00efts configuren un univers on la vergonya \u00e9s eix narratiu i emocional. Siopis hi tra\u00e7a una hist\u00f2ria de la humanitat marcada per la humiliaci\u00f3 i la viol\u00e8ncia, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 per la possibilitat del reconeixement i la catarsi.\r\n\r\nEn l\u2019obra de Siopis, la vergonya es desplega com un territori de dolor compartit i de catarsi col\u00b7lectiva que, des d\u2019una perspectiva lacaniana, al\u00b7ludeix a la p\u00e8rdua del lloc simb\u00f2lic de l\u2019amor i del vincle. Alhora, aquest espai s\u2019obre a una dimensi\u00f3 de gaudi: el cos, en la seva fragilitat, cerca en la pulsi\u00f3 de mort un possible espai de redempci\u00f3 i sublimaci\u00f3.\u00a0<em>Shame\u00a0<\/em>interroga els l\u00edmits del cos i de la hist\u00f2ria i revela com la ferida, personal o col\u00b7lectiva, pot esdevenir mat\u00e8ria po\u00e8tica i pol\u00edtica, una forma de resistencia davant l\u2019oblit.\r\n\r\nLa mostra tamb\u00e9 inclour\u00e0\u00a0<em>Charmed Lives\u00a0<\/em>(Vides afortunades, 1998-1999), un gran llen\u00e7 d\u2019objectes trobats que actua com una mem\u00f2ria col\u00b7lectiva teixida a partir d\u2019experi\u00e8ncies individuals. D\u2019altra banda, l\u2019arxiu ocupa un lloc central en l\u2019obra d\u2019aquesta artista: armaris amb calaixos segellats evoquen una mem\u00f2ria oculta, invisibilitzada pels discursos hegem\u00f2nics.
