Aquest nou projecte aborda el disseny com una via paral\u00b7lela a la pr\u00e0ctica art\u00edstica: un cam\u00ed que es creua amb l\u2019art, que en comparteix els llenguatges, per\u00f2 que persegueix altres finalitats: funcionals, socials, materials, tecnol\u00f2giques i hist\u00f2riques. PARALLEL ROUTE 01<\/strong> proposa un espai on el disseny i l\u2019art no competeixen, sin\u00f3 que es contaminen, es q\u00fcestionen i s\u2019enriqueixen m\u00fatuament.<\/p>\r\n

Per a aquesta primera edici\u00f3, vam plantejar un repte dual: dissenyadors confrontant els l\u00edmits de la disfuncionalitat i artistes explorant la bellesa de la funcionalitat mitjan\u00e7ant la creaci\u00f3 d\u2019una pe\u00e7a per seure. El plantejament era deliberadament obert, per\u00f2 prou prec\u00eds per generar un camp d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 compartit. El resultat no \u00e9s una col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 de cadires, sin\u00f3 una constel\u00b7laci\u00f3 de respostes en qu\u00e8 l\u2019acte de seure esdev\u00e9 alhora pretext i territori, un terreny com\u00fa on convergeixen el gest, l\u2019estructura, la materialitat i el concepte.<\/p>\r\n

Al cor de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 hi ha una pregunta: qu\u00e8 passa quan el disseny abandona la funci\u00f3 pura i l\u2019art abra\u00e7a la utilitat? Les obres reunides aqu\u00ed habiten aquesta fricci\u00f3.<\/p>\r\n

PARALLEL ROUTE 01<\/strong> propone un espacio donde el dise\u00f1o y el arte no compiten, sino que se contaminan, se cuestionan y se enriquecen mutuamente.<\/p>\r\n

Para esta primera edici\u00f3n, planteamos un doble desaf\u00edo: dise\u00f1adores enfrent\u00e1ndose a los l\u00edmites de la disfuncionalidad y artistas explorando la belleza de la funcionalidad mediante la creaci\u00f3n de una pieza para sentarse. El encargo fue deliberadamente abierto, aunque lo suficientemente preciso como para generar un campo de investigaci\u00f3n compartido. El resultado no es una colecci\u00f3n de sillas, sino una constelaci\u00f3n de respuestas en la que el acto de sentarse se convierte tanto en pretexto como en territorio, un terreno com\u00fan donde convergen el gesto, la estructura, la materialidad y el concepto.<\/p>\r\n

En el coraz\u00f3n de la exposici\u00f3n subyace una pregunta: \u00bfqu\u00e9 sucede cuando el dise\u00f1o abandona la funci\u00f3n pura y el arte abraza la utilidad? Las obras reunidas aqu\u00ed habitan esa fricci\u00f3n.<\/p>\r\n

This new project approaches design as a parallel route to artistic practice: a path that intersects with art, shares languages, yet pursues other ends, functional, social, material, technological, and historical.\u00a0PARALLEL ROUTE 01<\/em>\u00a0proposes a space where design and art do not compete, but rather contaminate, question, and enrich one another.<\/p>\r\n

For this first edition, we posed a dual challenge: designers confronting the limits of dysfunction, and artists exploring the beauty of functionality by creating a piece to sit on. The brief was deliberately open, yet precise enough to generate a shared field of inquiry. The result is not a collection of chairs, but a constellation of responses in which the act of sitting becomes both pretext and territory, a common ground where gesture, structure, materiality, and concept converge.<\/p>\r\n

At the core of the exhibition lies a question: what happens when design abandons pure function, and art embraces utility?
