La querella va ser el resultat d\u2019un \u201cdesacord art\u00edstic\u201d sobre el ballet Suite en blanc de Lifar. Els duels eren il\u00b7legals a Fran\u00e7a des del segle XVII, per aix\u00f2 l\u2019hora i el lloc no s\u2019havien anunciat p\u00fablicament. Tanmateix, el duel va tenir lloc davant de 30 periodistes i va acabar al set\u00e8 minut despr\u00e9s que Cuevas fer\u00eds l\u2019avantbra\u00e7 de Lifar. Es va dir que despr\u00e9s del duel tots dos homes van plorar i es van abra\u00e7ar. Cuevas va declarar: \u201cHe foradat el meu fill. La investigaci\u00f3 atenta de les grans gestes i esdeveniments de la humanitat revela un sentit ocult de rid\u00edcul. The complaint was the result of an \u201cartistic disagreement\u201d over Lifar\u2019s blank Suite ballet. The duels were illegal in France since the 17th century, so the time and place had not been publicly announced. However, the duel took place in front of 30 journalists and ended in the seventh minute after Cuevas wounded Lifar's forearm. It was said that after the duel both men cried and embraced each other. Cuevas stated: \u201cI pierced my son. I killed the god of dance.\u201d\r\n\r\nThrough the repetition and re-scenification of the duel, a historical striptease of the figure of the choreographer and his mythological qualities is carried out to question how institutional discourse is constructed. The attentive investigation of humanity\u2019s great deeds and events reveals a hidden sense of ridicule.
