Tracem la ruta sobre un mapa i descobrim que el lloc que busc\u00e0vem no apareixia enlloc. Anades i vingudes, arribades i perman\u00e8ncies, trobades, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 delimitacions, transgressions i talls abruptes. Imaginem l’espai entre dos llocs com un llindar ple de l\u00ednies, una coreografia que modela el territori. Ens vam adonar que els llocs es defineixen per gestos. Tanmateix, no tots els espais que produeixen els nostres cossos estan documentats. Com recon\u00e8ixer, aleshores, la pertinen\u00e7a a un lloc que queda fora de les institucionalitats que nomenen el m\u00f3n i les formes d’habitar-lo?<\/p>\r\n
\u00abI l’oest no existia\u00bb \u00e9s un intent de narrar aquests espais intermedis que transitem. Per a aix\u00f2, el col\u00b7lectiu Al’Akhawat desplega la cr\u00f2nica d’un viatge imaginari per llocs reals, sense nom, coneguts per\u00f2 irreconeixibles. A trav\u00e8s de la reproducci\u00f3 de tr\u00e0mits, documents i artefactes que ens acompanyen en els nostres despla\u00e7aments, el col\u00b7lectiu busca materialitzar alguns dels gestos indocumentats que reconeixen l’exist\u00e8ncia en i d’un espai – llindar.<\/p>\r\n

Idas y venidas, llegadas y permanencias, encuentros, pero tambi\u00e9n delimitaciones, transgresiones y cortes abruptos. Imaginamos el espacio entre dos lugares como un umbral lleno de l\u00edneas, una coreograf\u00eda que modela el territorio. Nos dimos cuenta de que los lugares se definen por gestos. Sin embargo, no todos los espacios que producen nuestros cuerpos est\u00e1n documentados. \u00bfC\u00f3mo reconocer, entonces, la pertenencia a un lugar que queda fuera de las institucionalidades que nombran el mundo y las formas de habitarlo?<\/p>\r\n

Para ello, el colectivo Al\u2019Akhawat despliega la cr\u00f3nica de un viaje imaginario por lugares reales, sin nombre, conocidos pero irreconocibles. We traced the route on a map and discovered that the place we were searching for did not appear anywhere. Departures and returns, arrivals and permanences, encounters, but also delimitations, transgressions, and abrupt ruptures. We imagined the space between two places as a threshold full of lines, a choreography that shapes the territory. We realized that places are defined by gestures. However, not all the spaces produced by our bodies are documented. How, then, can one recognize belonging to a place that remains outside the institutional frameworks that name the world and the ways of inhabiting it?<\/p>\r\n
\u201dAnd the West Did Not Exist\u201d is an attempt to narrate those intermediate spaces that we move through. To do so, the collective Al\u2019Akhawat unfolds the chronicle of an imaginary journey through real places\u2014nameless, familiar yet unrecognizable. Through the reproduction of procedures, documents, and artifacts that accompany us in our displacements, the collective seeks to materialize some of the undocumented gestures that acknowledge the existence within and of a threshold-space.<\/p>\r\n
