A difer\u00e8ncia del punt (m\u00e9s taxatiu) i de la coma (m\u00e9s lleu), el punt i coma se sit\u00faa en una dimensi\u00f3 interm\u00e8dia i m\u00e9s ambigua; intercepta el llenguatge per generar un altre ritme.<\/p>\r\n

The wedge also appears in the linguistic field. In Catalan, a falca<\/em>\u2014a filler word or verbal tic\u2014is a word that stretches out a statement in order to gain time. In a way, it is as though it momentarily slows down a ball of thoughts pressing to come out and be verbalised, holding them back until the right words can be found to continue.<\/p>\r\n What, then, is a semicolon? Well, um\u2026 let\u2019s say that, like a filler word, the semicolon interrupts the flow of a sentence without breaking its continuity.
