Parant atenci\u00f3 a la llet com una subst\u00e0ncia dotada d'ag\u00e8ncia i a les parts m\u00e9s estranyes del seu esdevenir en el m\u00f3n (hum\u00e0 i m\u00e9s que hum\u00e0), ens mourem durant tres dies en la cuina de La Escocesa, fent formatges i iogurts, habitant i parlant sobre secrecions, m\u00e0gia, esperits, agricultura, bacteris i obres d'art. Mentre quallem llets i elucubrem hist\u00f2ries, prendrem notes per a imaginar una s\u00e8rie de peces col\u00b7lectives. El tercer dia ens acompanyar\u00e0 Valeria Mata, qui ens encaminar\u00e0 en el proc\u00e9s de cuinar les nostres notes en obres (textuals, visuals o d'un altre ordre).\r\n\r\nQu\u00e8 quallarem juntis, tallades pels \u00e0cids de les nostres preguntes, inoculades d'idees i bressolades per la calor de la nostra companyia?\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h4><strong>bio<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<strong>Valeria Mata<\/strong> \u00e9s investigadora i antrop\u00f2loga social. Les seves l\u00ednies de recerca exploren els encreuaments entre les pr\u00e0ctiques art\u00edstiques i l'antropologia, la dimensi\u00f3 pol\u00edtica i cultural del menjar i les reflexions cr\u00edtiques sobre la noci\u00f3 de despla\u00e7ament. Li interessa assajar una antropologia que consideri el visual i el textual, per\u00f2 que vagi m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 del sentit de la vista i del contingut sem\u00e0ntic per a indagar en altres formes de relaci\u00f3 amb el m\u00f3n que defensin que els sons, els gestos, les olors, els sabors, i el tacte, tenen un estatus epistemol\u00f2gic important. Ha escrit els llibres <em>Plagie, copie, manipule, robe, reescriba este libro<\/em>\u00a0(2018) i <em>Todo lo que se mueve<\/em> (2021). El 2021 va editar Comer relaciona (y confronta) mundos, publicat pel Centre Cultural d'Espanya a M\u00e8xic. En la seva recerca actual explora la circulaci\u00f3 de regals.\r\n\r\n<strong>Mercedes Villalba<\/strong>, Ph.D., \u00e9s escriptora i investigadora. Doctora en Antropologia, Hist\u00f2ria de la Ci\u00e8ncia i Metodologies Feministes en la Universitat de Calif\u00f2rnia (Davis), \u00e9s autora de <em>Manifiesto ferviente<\/em> (2019), <em>A las Plantas<\/em> (2022), els llibres de poesia <em>Colores<\/em>\u00a0i\u00a0<em>A los bot\u00e1nicos<\/em>, a m\u00e9s d'articles, poemes, traduccions i assajos entorn de la creaci\u00f3 i descomposici\u00f3 de l'art i la naturalesa. <em>Manifiesto Ferviente<\/em> va ser tradu\u00eft a l'espanyol, al portugu\u00e8s, al catal\u00e0 i al kichwa i forma part de la col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 permanent de Printed Matter, del SAIC i del MACBA. El seu pr\u00f2xim llibre,<em>Triangulaciones<\/em>, sortir\u00e0 per l'editorial Cel Sant a la fi de 2026. Paying attention to milk as a substance endowed with agency, and to the stranger aspects of its becoming in the human and more-than-human world, we will spend three days in La Escocesa\u2019s kitchen, making cheese and yogurt, inhabiting and talking about secretions, magic, spirits, agriculture, bacteria and works of art. As we curdle milk and spin stories, we will take notes towards imagining a series of collective works. On the third day, Valeria Mata will join us to guide us through the process of turning our notes into works\u2014textual, visual, or otherwise.\r\n\r\nWhat will we curdle together, cut by the acids of our questions, inoculated with ideas, and cradled by the warmth of our company?\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h4><strong>bio<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n<strong>Valeria Mata<\/strong> is a researcher and social anthropologist. Her research explores intersections between artistic practices and anthropology, the political and cultural dimensions of food, and critical reflections on the notion of displacement. She is interested in experimenting with an anthropology that takes both the visual and the textual into account, while also moving beyond the primacy of sight and semantic content to investigate other forms of relating to the world\u2014ones that recognize sounds, gestures, smells, tastes, and touch as having an important epistemological status. She is the author of <em>Plagie, copie, manipule, robe, reescriba este libro<\/em> (2018) and <em>Todo lo que se mueve <\/em>(2021). In 2021, she edited <em>Comer relaciona<\/em> (y confronta) mundos, published by the Centro Cultural de Espa\u00f1a en M\u00e9xico. Her current research explores the circulation of gifts.\r\n\r\n<strong>Mercedes Villalba,<\/strong> Ph.D., is a writer and researcher. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology, History of Science, and Feminist Methodologies from the University of California, Davis. She is the author of <em>Manifiesto ferviente<\/em> (2019), <em>A las Plantas<\/em> (2022), the poetry books <em>Colores and A los bot\u00e1nicos<\/em>, as well as articles, poems, translations, and essays exploring the creation and decomposition of art and nature. Her <em>Manifiesto Fervient<\/em>e has been translated into Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, and Kichwa, and is part of the permanent collections of Printed Matter, SAIC, and MACBA.
