La metamorfosi no apareix com una excepci\u00f3, sin\u00f3 com una condici\u00f3 inherent a la vida mateixa. Les ciutats canvien, els paisatges es transformen, les identitats es redefineixen i les tecnologies alteren la nostra manera de relacionar-nos amb la realitat. A m\u00e9s, avui dia les imatges ja no nom\u00e9s representen el m\u00f3n; tamb\u00e9 el produeixen, el condicionen i el transformen.\r\n\r\nDurant d\u00e8cades, la fotografia va ser entesa com un mecanisme per fixar all\u00f2 real, per demostrar que alguna cosa va succeir, que alg\u00fa va ser all\u00ed, que aquell instant va existir. Actualment, la pregunta ja no \u00e9s solament qu\u00e8 mostren les imatges, sin\u00f3 tamb\u00e9 qu\u00e8 significa avui mirar una imatge i qu\u00e8 fan les imatges amb nosaltres. Mirar s'ha convertit en un acte complex, condicionat i profundament pol\u00edtic.\r\n\r\nLes publicacions d'aquesta mostra aborden el concepte de metamorfosi en un sentit ampli: f\u00edsiques, socials, tecnol\u00f2giques, emocionals, clim\u00e0tiques, culturals. Canvien els cossos, els territoris, els vincles, els h\u00e0bits de comunicaci\u00f3 i les maneres de mirar. Existeixen transformacions gaireb\u00e9 imperceptibles, sedimentades pel pas del temps, i d\u2019altres d\u2019abruptes, violentes, inesperades, capaces d'alterar radicalment la nostra percepci\u00f3 d\u2019all\u00f2 real. Res roman imm\u00f2bil. M\u00e9s que il\u00b7lustrar com canvien les coses, les obres aqu\u00ed reunides tamb\u00e9 ens interroguen cap a on ens dirigim, quin tipus de m\u00f3n estem construint i quin paper exerceixen les imatges en aquesta transformaci\u00f3.\r\n\r\nEl fotollibre resulta un format especialment pertinent per abordar totes aquestes q\u00fcestions. Davant del flux incessant d'imatges digitals, proposa una experi\u00e8ncia diferent de temps i mirada. Obliga a detenir-se, a establir relacions entre imatges, textos i silencis. No es consumeix de manera immediata; exigeix una certa lentitud. Actualmente, la pregunta ya no es s\u00f3lo qu\u00e9 muestran las im\u00e1genes, sino tambi\u00e9n qu\u00e9 significa hoy mirar una imagen y qu\u00e9 hacen las im\u00e1genes con nosotros. Mirar se ha convertido en un acto complejo, condicionado y profundamente pol\u00edtico.\r\n\r\nLas publicaciones de esta muestra abordan el concepto de metamorfosis en sentido amplio: f\u00edsicas, sociales, tecnol\u00f3gicas, emocionales, clim\u00e1ticas, culturales. Cambian los cuerpos, los territorios, los v\u00ednculos, los h\u00e1bitos de comunicaci\u00f3n y las formas de mirar. Existen transformaciones casi imperceptibles, sedimentadas por el paso del tiempo, y otras abruptas, violentas, inesperadas, capaces de alterar radicalmente nuestra percepci\u00f3n de lo real. Nada permanece inm\u00f3vil. M\u00e1s que ilustrar c\u00f3mo cambian las cosas, las obras aqu\u00ed reunidas tambi\u00e9n nos interrogan hacia d\u00f3nde nos dirigimos, qu\u00e9 tipo de mundo estamos construyendo y qu\u00e9 papel desempe\u00f1an las im\u00e1genes en esta transformaci\u00f3n.\r\n\r\nEl fotolibro resulta un formato especialmente pertinente para abordar todas estas cuestiones. Metamorphosis appears not as an exception, but as a condition inherent to life itself. Cities change, landscapes transform, identities are redefined, and technologies alter the way we relate to reality. Moreover, today images do not merely represent the world; they also produce, shape, and transform it.\r\n\r\nFor decades, photography was understood as a mechanism for capturing the real\u2014for proving that something happened, that someone was there, that a specific moment existed. Today, the question is no longer just what images show, but also what it means to look at an image and what images do to us. Looking has become a complex, conditioned, and deeply political act.\r\n\r\nThe publications in this exhibition address the concept of metamorphosis in a broad sense: physical, social, technological, emotional, climatic, and cultural. Bodies, territories, bonds, communication habits, and ways of looking all change. There are transformations that are almost imperceptible\u2014layered over time\u2014and others that are abrupt, violent, and unexpected, capable of radically altering our perception of reality. Nothing remains static. Rather than simply illustrating how things change, the works gathered here also question where we are heading, what kind of world we are building, and the role images play in this transformation.\r\n\r\nThe photobook is a particularly apt format for addressing all these issues. In the face of the ceaseless flow of digital images, it offers a different experience of time and looking. It compels us to pause and to establish connections between images, texts, and silences. It is not consumed instantly; it demands a certain slowness.
