Si una escena ens remunta als or\u00edgens del cinema sonor, l'altra ens porta fins als or\u00edgens del llenguatge hum\u00e0. Si una escena nos remonta a los or\u00edgenes del cine sonoro, la otra nos lleva hasta los or\u00edgenes del lenguaje humano. Previously a speechless animal, he suddenly grabs the cattle prod out of the hands of his human prison guard and shouts \u201cNo!\u201d.\r\n\r\nIn the video installation The Mime and the Ape<\/em>(2023), a narrator returns again and again to these two scenes treating them as two origin stories. If one scene takes us back to the origins of sound film, the other scene takes us all the way back to the origins of human language.
