L\u2019obra de Rossella Biscotti<\/strong> aprofundeix en la hist\u00f2ria material i afectiva dels espais que habitem, tot desgranant sistemes de significaci\u00f3 i xarxes relacionals entre all\u00f2 hum\u00e0 i all\u00f2 no hum\u00e0. La seva pr\u00e0ctica, que combina cinema, so, escultura i performance, explora el funcionament d\u2019ecosistemes tan oberts, canviants i polif\u00f2nics com els imaginaris col\u00b7lectius i els suports que els condicionen, b\u00e9 siguin narratius o materials. Vinculant l\u2019art amb la hist\u00f2ria, l\u2019arqueologia, l\u2019antropologia, les ci\u00e8ncies ambientals, la geopol\u00edtica i l\u2019activisme, q\u00fcestiona els usos i abusos del poder global mostrant tot all\u00f2 que viu al marge del discurs oficial.<\/p>\r\nPer a l\u2019exposici\u00f3 de la Fabra i Coats, Biscotti presenta dues grans instal\u00b7lacions que ocupen dues plantes del Centre d\u2019Art: The City<\/em>, una projecci\u00f3 multipantalla sobre una ciutat neol\u00edtica, i The Journey<\/em>, una obra sonora sobre el Mediterrani, cadascuna d\u2019elles acompanyada d\u2019una obra escult\u00f2rica: Trees on Land<\/em> i Drifting<\/em> respectivament, que ens porten a un cementiri d\u2019oliveres i ens endinsen en el mar. Her practice, which interweaves film, sound, sculpture and performance, explores the functioning of ecosystems as open, shifting and polyphonic, as are collective imaginaries and the media by which they are conditioned, be they narrative or material. By bringing together art, archaeology, anthropology, environmental sciences, geopolitics and activism, she questions the uses and abuses of global power by revealing all that lives on the margins of official discourse.\r\n\r\nFor the exhibition at Fabra i Coats, Biscotti presents two large installations occupying two floors of the Art Centre: The City,<\/em> a multi-screen projection of a Neolithic city, and The Journey<\/em>, a sound piece set around the Mediterranean, accompanied by two respective sculptural works, Trees on Land<\/em> and Drifting<\/em>, which take us to an olive tree cemetery and to the currents of the sea.
