A m\u00e9s, el projecte s\u2019emmarca dins el festival Loop 2023.\r\n\r\n<em>The Stone Monkey<\/em>\u00a0\u00e9s una obra desenvolupada a trav\u00e9s de dues formes de narrativa multim\u00e8dia: un tr\u00e0iler de v\u00eddeo en CGI (imatges generades per ordinador) i un entorn de realitat virtual navegable. Relata el viatge d\u2019un petit mico que de sobte presencia com unes certes parts del seu cos experimenten un lent proc\u00e9s de petrificaci\u00f3 sense motiu aparent i s\u2019embarca en un viatge que n\u2019inicia la curaci\u00f3. L\u2019obra forma part de\u00a0<em>Second Order Reality<\/em>, un projecte que concep la creaci\u00f3 d\u2019un videojoc inspirat en el text\u00a0<em>La Tentation de saint Antoine<\/em>, de Gustave Flaubert.\r\n\r\nL\u2019inter\u00e8s en el llibre es deriva de la descripci\u00f3 dels estats al\u00b7lucinatoris repetits experimentats pel seu protagonista, sant Antoni Abat. Aquests estats liminars poden associar-se, en alguns aspectes, amb experi\u00e8ncies virtuals en les quals la percepci\u00f3 del cos i de l\u2019entorn circumdant es presenten de formes alterades. La hist\u00f2ria resultant tamb\u00e9 sorgeix d\u2019una col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 d\u2019un grup de nens i nenes a trav\u00e9s de tallers i explora el potencial d\u2019all\u00f2 virtual per involucrar el visitant en una experi\u00e8ncia perceptiva h\u00edbrida.\r\n\r\nTindr\u00e0 lloc el cap de setmana del 18 i 19 de novembre a l\u2019espai central de La Capella i consistir\u00e0 en una exposici\u00f3 + experi\u00e8ncia de realitat virtual i un taller familiar. Part of the Concentric programme, the project will also feature in the Loop Festival 2023.\r\n\r\n<em>The Stone Monkey<\/em>\u00a0is a work in two multimedia narrative formats: a CGI (computer-generated imagery) video trailer and a navigable virtual reality environment. It tells of the travels of a small monkey who suddenly notices that some of his body parts are slowly turning to stone for no apparent reason and so he embarks on a journey that begins his healing process. The work is part of\u00a0<em>Second Order Reality<\/em>, a project that plans to create a videogame inspired by Gustave Flaubert\u2019s novel\u00a0<em>The Temptation of St. Anthony<\/em>.\r\n\r\nThe book is of interest here due to the description of the repeated hallucinations experienced by its main character, St. Anthony. It is possible to draw associations in some respects between these liminal states and virtual experiences in which the perception of the body and the surrounding environment are altered. The resulting story also emerges from collaboration with a group of children in workshops and explores the potential of the virtual realm for involving visitors in a hybrid perceptual experience.\r\n\r\nIt will take place on the weekend of 18 and 19 November in the central space of La Capella and will consist of an exhibition plus virtual reality experience and a workshop for families.
