Per a l\u2019exposici\u00f3 d\u2019Art Nou, l\u2019artista explora la relaci\u00f3 entre els materials org\u00e0nics i sint\u00e8tics; la seva mutabilitat, porositat i capacitat de guanyar o perdre forma.\r\n\r\nLess than Container Load explora el llenguatge de la mat\u00e8ria i l\u2019arquitectura i com aquestes generen o alteren una realitat determinada. El t\u00edtol fa refer\u00e8ncia a un terme de transport mar\u00edtim que assenyala aquelles c\u00e0rregues que no ocupen un contenidor sencer. En di\u00e0leg amb l\u2019arquitectura del cub blac de la galeria, la forma exterior del qual ens remet a un contenidor industrial de transport, els materials es contreuen i s\u2019expandeixen amb el desig de desnaturalitzar i transformar la seva circulaci\u00f3 i permeabilitat. En aquest proc\u00e9s, els fluxos de mat\u00e8ria ens conviden a especular sobre el que ha pogut formar part de l\u2019espai i a fantasiar sobre el que podria arribar a albergar.","desc_es":"La arquitectura de un espacio distribuye el tr\u00e1nsito de los cuerpos. En este proceso, los flujos de materia nos invitan a especular sobre lo que ha podido formar parte del espacio y a fantasear sobre lo que podr\u00eda llegar a albergar.","desc_en":"The architecture of a space distributes the transit of bodies. It is these flows and connections that are born from the encounter between bodies and materials what drives Mercedes Pimiento to investigate spatial conditions and to go beyond their limits. For the Art Nou exhibition, the artist explores the relationship between organic and synthetic materials; their mutability, porosity and capacity to gain or lose shape.\r\n\r\nLess than Container Load explores the language of matter and architecture and how they generate or alter a given reality. The title refers to a shipping term that alludes to cargo that does not occupy an entire container. In dialogue with the architecture of the white cube of the gallery, whose exterior shape reminds us of an industrial shipping container, the materials contract and expand with the desire to denaturalize and transform their circulation and permeability.
