Hi ha una mena d\u2019optimisme desesperat en els repetits intents de les triennals o biennals de definir el present i plantar la seva bandera en el futur. Sempre arriben, d\u2019alguna manera, tard a la cita. La temporalitat accelerada amb qu\u00e8 el sistema de l\u2019art adopta i considera esgotats els seus temes d\u2019inter\u00e8s no fa sin\u00f3 incrementar aquesta sensaci\u00f3 que tot envelleix r\u00e0pidament. Ara que el futur ha deixat de ser el repositori de totes les promeses incomplertes de la modernitat i ha esdevingut una font d\u2019ansietats planet\u00e0ries, quin sentit t\u00e9 continuar organitzant biennals? Quina legitimitat li queda al museu com a instituci\u00f3 que organitza i fa llegible la modernitat?\r\n\r\nAquest pr\u00f2leg aplega dues intervencions que s\u2019enfronten a aquestes preguntes millor que no ho far\u00edem nosaltres. En el cas d\u2019<em>El Reino<\/em> (2003), de <strong>Dora Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, es tracta d\u2019una obra pertanyent a la Col\u00b7lecci\u00f3 MACBA; en el cas de l\u2019obra d\u2019<strong>Antonio Gagliano<\/strong> i <strong>Ver\u00f3nica Lahitte<\/strong>, <em>Reconstrucci\u00f3: Barcelona Art Report [2001]<\/em>, es tracta d\u2019un enc\u00e0rrec realitzat espec\u00edficament per a aquesta ocasi\u00f3.","desc_es":"Esto que estamos llamando un pr\u00f3logo podr\u00eda ser un ep\u00edlogo, o una coletilla. Ahora que el futuro ha dejado de ser el repositorio de todas las promesas incumplidas de la modernidad para convertirse en fuente de ansiedades planetarias, \u00bfqu\u00e9 sentido tiene seguir organizando bienales? \u00a0\u00bfQu\u00e9 legitimidad le queda al museo como instituci\u00f3n que organiza y hace legible lo moderno?\r\n\r\nEste pr\u00f3logo re\u00fane dos intervenciones que lidian con estas preguntas mejor de lo que nosotres podemos hacerlo. There is a desperate optimism in the triennial (or biennial) repeated attempts to define the present and plant its flag on the future. They are always, somehow, late to the party. \u00a0The accelerated temporality with which the artworld picks up and discards its themes and topics only increases this sense that everything becomes prematurely old.\r\n\r\nNow that the future has ceased to be the repository of all the unfulfilled promises of modernity to become the source of our planetary anxieties, what is the point of continuing to organise biennials?
