La llista de representacions culturals occidentals al voltant de l\u2019amor i les passions seria inacabable: des de la mitologia grega i les seves trag\u00e8dies, passant per l\u2019escol\u00e0stica cristiana, l\u2019amor cort\u00e8s, el Segle d\u2019Or i el romanticisme del xviii i part del xix, fins a les expressions culturals m\u00e9s populars o alternatives dels nostres dies, s\u2019ha donat testimoni dels estralls causats per alguna idea d\u2019amor.<\/p>\r\n
En el pla del real, seguim patint els creients que exterminen l\u2019altre en nom de l\u2019amor a un D\u00e9u; tots els nacionalistes que continuen llan\u00e7ant-se a la seva m\u00fatua destrucci\u00f3 per amor a alguna p\u00e0tria o m\u00e0tria; adolescents que entenen els trets zelot\u00edpics com a signes d\u2019amor verdader; la mare que mata els seus fills perqu\u00e8 no pateixin; revolucionaris que donen la vida o la treuen per amor a alguna idea de revoluci\u00f3 social; o l\u2019amant que decideix matar l\u2019estimada (o a l\u2019inrev\u00e9s) en veure que perd el seu amor.<\/p>\r\n
Quina \u00e9s la responsabilitat de la cultura en totes aquestes paradoxes? Quantes situacions dramat\u00fargicament preestablertes hem viscut en les nostres hist\u00f2ries d\u2019amor? Quins gaudis o fantasmes s\u2019oculten darrere de la m\u00e0scara de les creences al voltant de l\u2019ideal de l\u2019amor? Podria ser que la principal causa dels conflictes socials no fos l\u2019odi sin\u00f3 un exc\u00e9s d\u2019amor cec? Quins efectes tindria sobre l\u2019ordre social la desidealitzaci\u00f3 de l\u2019amor? I sobre nosaltres?<\/p>\r\n

How many dramaturgically pre-established situations have we experienced in our stories of love? What pleasures or ghosts are hidden behind the mask of beliefs about the ideal of love? Could it be that the main cause of social conflicts is not hatred but an excess of blind love? What effects would the de-idealisation of love have on social order?
