El projecte d'aquest treball va arrencar quan el realitzador va visitar la protectora per fer un v\u00eddeo destinat a aconseguir fons per a aquesta. En con\u00e8ixer el relat i les persones que sustentaven el projecte, Raul Vicente els va proposar rodar un documental que mostr\u00e9s les vides humanes i no humanes que convergeixen en aquest enclavament rural de Lleida. La cinta mostra un retrat etnogr\u00e0fic de les quotidianitats dels personatges principals, que viuen compartint espai entre centenars de gossos i gats abandonats. Queden relatats els seus sistemes de valors, la seva manera d'entendre i afrontar la vida, amb una cosmologia pr\u00f2pia disposada a plantar cara a les contradiccions de la societat. Amb una vida de sacrifici al servei, la protecci\u00f3 i la salva de milers de vides a la seva esquena, les seves reflexions ens plantegen que alguna cosa falla a la societat, alguna cosa no va b\u00e9 en les seves normes, les seves creences i els seus actes.\r\n\r\nEl v\u00eddeo vindr\u00e0 acompanyat de la intervenci\u00f3 de\u00a0<strong>Yvonne Ram\u00edrez<\/strong>, qui en el seu comentari reflexionar\u00e0 al voltant del treball etnogr\u00e0fic i la contund\u00e8ncia d'unes vides que han deixat de embolicar-se en la paraula i en les lluites culturals per transformar el present des d'un inapel\u00b7lable fer.","desc_es":"<strong><em>Protectio<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>(2014) narra las historias de vida en un lugar creado por Lydia y Jordi: la protectora de animales Lydia Argil\u00e9s. The project for this work began when the filmmaker visited the shelter to make a video to raise funds for it. On learning about the story and the people behind the project, Raul Vicente proposed shooting a documentary that would show the human and non-human lives that converge in this rural enclave of Lleida. The film shows an ethnographic portrait of the daily lives of the main characters, who live sharing space among hundreds of abandoned dogs and cats. Their value systems, their way of understanding and facing life, with their own cosmology ready to stand up to the contradictions of society, are portrayed.
