Lluny d\u2019entendre la hist\u00f2ria com un constructe immutable, definitiu i inequ\u00edvoc que es repetiria fins a l\u2019infinit \u2015tot i que de vegades es pretengui aix\u00ed\u2015, el relat inscriu el que es relata en una transformaci\u00f3 politicoafectiva en la qual juguen, a la vegada, el passat, el present i el futur. Quines s\u00f3n les nostres hist\u00f2ries? Quines narracions ens falten o romanen absents? On queda la hist\u00f2ria quan no es narra o quan \u00e9s ideol\u00f2gicament invisibilitzada o suprimida? Aquestes preguntes s\u00f3n subjacents i s\u2019actualitzen en l\u2019operaci\u00f3 de relatar. Per aix\u00f2, la tasca de narrar es considera altament pol\u00edtica.\r\n\r\nL\u2019obra de <b>Paloma Polo<\/b> (Madrid, 1983) s\u2019acosta a esdeveniments hist\u00f2rics molt precisos, a relats que han format part dels fonaments hegem\u00f2nics colonopatriarcals, aix\u00ed com a altres que van ser descartats o silenciats. Per fer-ho, l\u2019artista se submergeix en recerques a llarg termini, agafa i confronta fonts diverses que obren espais d\u2019escolta, di\u00e0leg i cooperaci\u00f3.\r\n\r\nArticulada a partir de quatre nuclis que s\u2019activen des dels projectes <em>The Path of Totality<\/em> (El cam\u00ed de la totalitat, 2010), <em>Dulcinea<\/em> (2022), <em>El barro de la revoluci\u00f3n<\/em> (El fang de la revoluci\u00f3, 2019) i <em>C\u2019est vouloir se jeter au fond du lac pour conserver sa vie\u00a0<\/em>(\u00c9s voler tirar-se al fons del llac per conservar la vida, 2024) \u2014aquest \u00faltim, in\u00e8dit, ha comptat amb la producci\u00f3, entre altres, de La Virreina Centre de la Imatge\u2014, la mostra fa dialogar aquests \u00e0mbits amb materials procedents de l\u2019arxiu de l\u2019artista que rarament han format part d\u2019exposicions, tot i que documenten els contextos i les metodologies emprats en cada proposta.\r\n\r\n<b>Comiss\u00e0ria: Mabel Tapia<\/b>","desc_es":"<span lang=\"ES\">\u00abTodo lo que tenemos es el relato\u00bb, afirmaba Ursula K. Estas preguntas subyacen y se actualizan en la operaci\u00f3n de relatar. Por ello, la tarea de narrar se define como altamente pol\u00edtica.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"ES\">El trabajo de <b>Paloma Polo<\/b> (Madrid, 1983) se acerca a acontecimientos hist\u00f3ricos muy precisos, a relatos que han sido parte de los fundamentos hegem\u00f3nicos colono-patriarcales, as\u00ed como a otros que fueron descartados o silenciados. Para ello, la artista se sumerge en investigaciones a largo plazo, toma y confronta fuentes diversas que abren espacios de escucha, di\u00e1logo y cooperaci\u00f3n.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"ES\">Articulada a partir de cuatro n\u00facleos que se activan desde los siguientes proyectos: <\/span><em><span lang=\"ES\">The Path of Totality<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ES\"> (El camino de la totalidad, 2010), <\/span><em><span lang=\"ES\">Dulcinea<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ES\"> (2022), <\/span><em><span lang=\"ES\">El barro de la revoluci\u00f3n<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ES\"> (2019) y <\/span><em><span lang=\"ES\">C\u2019est vouloir se jeter au fond du lac pour conserver sa vie\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"ES\">(Es querer tirarse al fondo del lago para conservar la vida, 2024) \u2014este \u00faltimo, in\u00e9dito, ha contado con la producci\u00f3n, entre otros, de La Virreina Centre de la Imatge\u2014, la muestra pone a dialogar dichos \u00e1mbitos con materiales procedentes del archivo de la artista que raramente han formado parte de exposiciones, aunque documentan los contextos y metodolog\u00edas empleados en cada propuesta.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Comisaria: Mabel Tapia<\/b>","desc_en":"<span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u2018[The telling is] all we have,\u2019 said Ursula K. Far from understanding history as an immutable, definitive and unambiguous construct that repeats itself ad infinitum\u2015although this is sometimes claimed\u2015the telling inscribes what is told in a political-affective transformation in which the past, present and future simultaneously intermingle. What are our stories? Which narratives are missing or absent? Where is history when it is not told or when it is ideologically made invisible or suppressed? These questions underlie and are updated in the process of telling. The task of narrating is consequently defined as highly political.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\">The work of <b>Paloma Polo<\/b> (Madrid, 1983) focuses on truly precise historical events, narratives that have been part of hegemonic colonial-patriarchal foundations, as well as others that have been discarded or silenced. The artist has therefore immersed herself in long-term research, taking in and confronting a variety of sources that open up spaces for listening, dialogue and cooperation.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span lang=\"EN-GB\">Structured around four central strands that are activated by the following projects: <\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">The Path of Totality<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> (2010), <\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Dulcinea<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> (2022), <\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">El barro de la revoluci\u00f3n<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\"> (Mud of the Revolution, 2019) and <\/span><em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">C\u2019est vouloir se jeter au fond du lac pour conserver sa vie\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-GB\">(Like Throwing Yourself to the Bottom of the Lake to Save Your Life, 2024). This last, unseen project has been produced by La Virreina Centre de la Imatge, among others.
