Per aix\u00f2, el projecte se centra en l\u2019estudi de la pr\u00e0ctica de conjuracions o exorcismes de tempestes (realitzats fins al segle XIX), els espais destinats a fer-ho i el Tente Nube.\r\n\r\nLa meteorologia popular est\u00e0 carregada de sincretismes i d\u2019un coneixement profund del territori, vinculat a la seva observaci\u00f3 i escolta. A la zona nord d\u2019Espanya (Arag\u00f3, Castella i Lle\u00f3 i Catalunya) es troben unes petites construccions arquitect\u00f2niques anomenades amagatalls, conjuraders o comunidors. Aquests noms ens indiquen la seva funci\u00f3: conjurar. S\u00f3n localitzacions per espantar el mal temps i les tempestes en qu\u00e8 s\u2019utilitzaven diversos m\u00e8todes: tocar les campanes, pregar preg\u00e0ries, dibuixar creus sobre el cel, o col\u00b7locar una destral cap amunt amb l\u2019objectiu de partir els llampecs. Aquestes edificacions es van mantenir en l\u2019\u00e0mbit del pag\u00e0 i van ser reinterpretades pel cristianisme mitjan\u00e7ant els conjuratoris, localitzacions annexes als campanars d\u2019esgl\u00e9sies que s\u2019utilitzaven per allunyar el mal dels raigs, el vent o la pluja. Aix\u00f2 posiciona la campana com un instrument clau, intermediari sobre els \u00e9ssers de la terra i el cel, mitj\u00e0 de comunicaci\u00f3 entre l\u2019hum\u00e0 i els fen\u00f2mens atmosf\u00e8rics. Un exemple d\u2019aix\u00f2 \u00e9s el toc de Tente Nube, l\u2019\u00fanic que cont\u00e9 una pros\u00f2dia r\u00edtmica i la creen\u00e7a de la qual afirma que els seus sons interrompen la pluja, ja sigui per la seva capacitat per invocar l\u2019acci\u00f3 divina o per les ones sonores que emeten les quals allunyen i\/o parteixen els cossos gasosos.\r\n\r\nLa formalitzaci\u00f3 est\u00e0 prevista com una instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 composta per dibuixos impresos a gran format sobre metall que operen com a cartografies sonores del proc\u00e9s de recerca i una pe\u00e7a d\u2019\u00e0udio. La creaci\u00f3 d\u2019aquesta \u00faltima es fonamenta en la realitzaci\u00f3 pr\u00e8via de field recordings de clima hivernal en amagatalls de la zona del nord d\u2019Espanya i l\u2019enregistrament de tocs de Tente Nube (realitzats en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb agrupacions de campaners, com l\u2019escola lleonesa de Villavante), mitjan\u00e7ant sistemes de captaci\u00f3 com ara micr\u00f2fons omnidireccionals, bina. La composici\u00f3 d\u2019aquesta pe\u00e7a barreja els enregistraments amb sistemes de processament i filtratge de so juntament amb altres instruments com sintetitzadors i idi\u00f2fons amb qu\u00e8 estudiar i reinterpretar les cad\u00e8ncies r\u00edtmiques dels \u00abdetente ennuvolat\u00bb i les seves variacions locals.\r\n\r\nA trav\u00e9s del dibuix ent\u00e8s com a grafia i rastre en di\u00e0leg amb el so s\u2019exploren maneres de compartir i plasmar les inquietuds que afecten el cos te\u00f2ric: com revertir l\u2019objectiu primordial del Tente Nube en un context de crisi ecosocial?, \u00e9s possible establir una altra relaci\u00f3 amb les tempestes? Para ello, el proyecto se centra en el estudio de la pr\u00e1ctica de conjuraciones o exorcismos de tormentas (realizados hasta el siglo XIX), los espacios destinado para ello y el Tente Nube.\r\n\r\nLa meteorolog\u00eda popular est\u00e1 cargada de sincretismos y de un profundo conocimiento del territorio, vinculado a su observaci\u00f3n y escucha. En la zona norte de Espa\u00f1a (Arag\u00f3n, Castilla y Le\u00f3n y Catalu\u00f1a) se encuentran unas peque\u00f1as construcciones arquitect\u00f3nicas llamadas esconjuraderos, conjuraderos o comunidors. Estos nombres nos indican su funci\u00f3n: conjurar. Son localizaciones para espantar el mal tiempo y las tormentas en las que se utilizaban diversos m\u00e9todos: tocar las campanas, rezar plegarias, dibujar cruces sobre el cielo, o colocar un hacha hacia arriba con el objetivo de partir los rel\u00e1mpagos. Dichas edificaciones se mantuvieron en el \u00e1mbito de lo pagano siendo reinterpretadas por el cristianismo mediante los conjuratorios, localizaciones anexas a los campanarios de iglesias que se utilizaban para alejar el mal de los rayos, el viento o la lluvia. Esto posiciona a la campana como un instrumento clave, intermediario sobre los seres de la tierra y el cielo, medio de comunicaci\u00f3n entre el humano y los fen\u00f3menos atmosf\u00e9ricos. Un ejemplo de ello es el toque de Tente Nube, el \u00fanico que contiene una prosodia r\u00edtmica y cuya creencia afirma que sus sonidos interrumpen la lluvia, ya sea por su capacidad para invocar la acci\u00f3n divina o por las ondas sonoras que emiten las cuales alejan y\/o parten los cuerpos gaseosos.\r\n\r\nLa formalizaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 prevista como una instalaci\u00f3n compuesta por dibujos impresos a gran formato sobre metal que operan como cartograf\u00edas sonoras del proceso de investigaci\u00f3n y una pieza de audio. La creaci\u00f3n de esta \u00faltima se fundamenta en la previa realizaci\u00f3n de field recordings de clima invernal en esconjuraderos de la zona del norte de Espa\u00f1a y la grabaci\u00f3n de toques de Tente Nube (realizados en colaboraci\u00f3n con agrupaciones de campaneros, como la escuela leonesa de Villavante), mediante sistemas de captaci\u00f3n tales como micr\u00f3fonos omnidireccionales, binaurales y ge\u00f3fonos. La composici\u00f3n de esta pieza mezcla las grabaciones con sistemas de procesado y filtrado de sonido junto con otros instrumentos como sintetizadores e idi\u00f3fonos con los que estudiar y reinterpretar las cadencias r\u00edtmicas de los \u00abdetente nublado\u00bb y sus variaciones locales.\r\n\r\nA trav\u00e9s del dibujo entendido como graf\u00eda y rastro en dialogo con el sonido se exploran modos de compartir y plasmar las inquietudes que afectan al cuerpo te\u00f3rico: \u00bfc\u00f3mo revertir el objetivo primordial del Tente Nube en un contexto de crisis ecosocial?, \u00bfes posible establecer otra relaci\u00f3n con las tormentas?, \u00bfcu\u00e1les son las memorias s\u00f3nicas de un territorio vivo en constante cambio?","desc_en":"Exhibition part of the \u00e0ngels barcelona gallery\u2019s collaboration with Sant Andreu Contemporani.\r\nWinner of the Miquel Casablancas Visual Arts Call \u2013 Project Category 2024\r\n\r\nEcho of Fog is an investigation into the relationship between sound phenomena, rituals, and folk meteorology. To this end, the project focuses on the study of storm conjurations or exorcisms (performed until the 19th century), the spaces designated for them, and the Tente Nube (Cloud Tent).\r\n\r\nFolk meteorology is steeped in syncretism and a deep knowledge of the territory, linked to its observation and listening. In northern Spain (Aragon, Castile and Le\u00f3n, and Catalonia), there are small architectural structures called esconjuraderos, conjuraderos, or comunidors. These names indicate their function: to conjure. These are locations to ward off bad weather and storms, in which various methods were used: ringing bells, saying prayers, drawing crosses in the sky, or placing an axe upward to split lightning. These buildings remained in the realm of paganism and were reinterpreted by Christianity through incantations, locations attached to church bell towers that were used to ward off evil from lightning, wind, or rain. This positions the bell as a key instrument, an intermediary between beings on earth and in the sky, a means of communication between humans and atmospheric phenomena. An example of this is the ringing of Tente Nube, the only one that contains a rhythmic prosody and whose belief holds that its sounds interrupt the rain, either through its ability to invoke divine action or through the sound waves they emit, which drive away and\/or split gaseous bodies.\r\n\r\nThe formalization is planned as an installation composed of large-format printed drawings on metal that operate as sound maps of the research process, and an audio piece. The creation of the latter is based on previous field recordings of winter weather in esconjuraderos (a type of sleigh bell) in northern Spain and the recording of Tente Nube (a type of bell ringing performed in collaboration with bell-ringing groups such as the Villavante School of Le\u00f3n), using pickup systems such as omnidirectional, binaural, and geophone microphones. The composition of this piece combines the recordings with sound processing and filtering systems, along with other instruments such as synthesizers and idiophones, to study and reinterpret the rhythmic cadences of the \u201cdetente nube\u201d and their local variations.\r\n\r\nThrough drawing, understood as a graphic and trace in dialogue with sound, ways of sharing and expressing concerns that affect the theoretical framework are explored: how to reverse the primary objective of Tente Nube in a context of eco-social crisis? Is it possible to establish another relationship with storms?
