L\u2019exposici\u00f3 Time Anchors to the Past and Fireflies in the Sky<\/em> marca un nou cap\u00edtol en la pr\u00e0ctica de Ricky Lee Gordon, desplegant-se en un di\u00e0leg entre Barcelona i Bali. En aquesta s\u00e8rie, l\u2019artista sud-afric\u00e0 continua la seva exploraci\u00f3 de la relaci\u00f3 entre natura, mem\u00f2ria i espiritualitat, desenvolupant un llenguatge material arrelat en el principi de \u201cpintar la natura amb la natura\u201d.<\/p>\r\n

Pigments minerals, tints vegetals, cera d\u2019abella, coure i processos alqu\u00edmics donen forma a paisatges que emergeixen com a meditacions materials, ancorant el temps al passat mentre s\u2019obren \u2014com cuques de llum al cel\u2014 cap a l\u2019ef\u00edmer i l\u2019etern. Cada obra \u00e9s un acte contemplatiu que il\u00b7lumina la interconnexi\u00f3 de tota la vida, on el gest pict\u00f2ric esdev\u00e9 un vehicle de consci\u00e8ncia i de pertinen\u00e7a a un tot m\u00e9s gran.<\/p>\r\n

Reconegut per National Geographic<\/em> com un dels \u201c11 grans de l\u2019art urb\u00e0\u201d, Gordon ha expandit la seva pr\u00e0ctica des de murals de gran format amb missatges socials i mediambientals \u2014realitzats en col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 amb Amnistia Internacional, Greenpeace i les Nacions Unides\u2014 cap a un cos de treball m\u00e9s \u00edntim i experimental a l\u2019estudi. El seu recorregut l\u2019ha portat de Johannesburg a Ciutat del Cap, Los Angeles i Sri Lanka, abans d\u2019establir-se a Bali, on el 2024 va fundar SUN.CONTEMPORARY, una galeria i plataforma interdisciplin\u00e0ria que promou el di\u00e0leg entre artistes indonesis i internacionals, tant emergents com consolidats.<\/p>\r\n
