amb\u00a0Helen\u00a0Torres<\/h1>\r\n \r\n\r\nAquest taller es planteja com un exercici per revisar termes heretats i treballar en la generaci\u00f3 de nous conceptes que provoquin girs en els discursos capitalistes, colonialistes i catastrofistes que configuren l\u2019imaginari de l\u2019Antropoc\u00e8. Quines paraules ens sobren? Quines ens falten? Quins termes volem reclamar?<\/em> Es presentar\u00e0 la fase preliminar del projecte Semillero del Chthuluceno<\/em>, un glossari il\u00b7lustrat situat en les recerques i projectes d\u2019artistes residents a La Escocesa, i crearem noves entrades per a aquest \u201cdiccionari\u201d d\u2019un temps que va ser, encara \u00e9s i pot arribar a ser.\r\n\r\n \r\n

bio<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nHelen(a) Torres<\/a> \u00e9s soci\u00f2loga, traductora i professora. El seu treball se centra en les articulacions entre llenguatge, arts i pol\u00edtiques des de perspectives feministes i anticolonials. Facilita tallers de fabulaci\u00f3 especulativa i seminaris centrats en el treball de Donna Haraway, de qui ha tradu\u00eft la majoria de les seves obres i al voltant de les propostes de les quals desenvolupa projectes art\u00edstics i de recerca. \u00c9s professora de pensament cr\u00edtic, teoria queer i teories feministes. Actualment \u00e9s doctoranda en el Departament d'Hist\u00f2ria de l'Art de la Universitat de Barcelona amb una tesi sobre bioarte i est\u00e0 traduint Quan es troben les esp\u00e8cies<\/em>, de Donna Haraway.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n

with\u00a0Helen\u00a0Torres<\/h1>\r\n \r\n\r\nThis workshop is an exercise to examine inherited terms and to work on the generation of new concepts that can disrupt capitalist, colonialist, and catastrophist discourses that shape the imaginary of the Anthropocene. Which words do you want to correct? Which words do you want to (re-)signify? Which words do you want to reclaim?\u00a0 Which ones are missing?<\/em> I will present the preliminary phase of the Semillero del Chthuluceno<\/em> project, an illustrated glossary grounded in conversations with resident artists at La Escocesa, and we will create new entries for this \u201cdictionary\u201d of a timespace that was, still is, and might yet be.\r\n\r\n \r\n

bio<\/strong><\/h4>\r\nHelen(a) Torres<\/a><\/strong> is a sociologist, translator, and educator. Her work focuses on the intersections between language, the arts, and politics from feminist and anticolonial perspectives. She facilitates speculative fabulation workshops and seminars centered on the work of Donna Haraway, whose major works she has translated, and around whose proposals she develops artistic and research projects. She teaches critical thinking, queer theory, and feminist theories. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Art History at the University of Barcelona, working on a dissertation about bioart, and is translating When Species Meet<\/em> by Donna Haraway.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n
