En un temps anterior al codi, al bit i a l\u2019algoritme, ja existia una forma r\u00edtmica i bin\u00e0ria de processar el m\u00f3n: el parpelleig. Aquest gest fisiol\u00f2gic, m\u00ednim i constant, constitueix la unitat m\u00e9s elemental de la nostra relaci\u00f3 amb la imatge. En aquest interval, el cervell reorganitza, completa, esborra i reescriu all\u00f2 que veu: compon la mirada. Parpellejar \u00e9s recordar que encara som cos, i no nom\u00e9s interf\u00edcie.<\/p>\r\n

Lorena Ruiz (Barcelona, 1991) \u00e9s artista visual i investigadora. La seva pr\u00e0ctica travessa la fotografia, la instal\u00b7laci\u00f3 i el videoart per explorar els l\u00edmits entre realitat i ficci\u00f3, entre el f\u00edsic i el virtual, entre el visible i l\u2019imaginat. La seva obra reflexiona sobre la percepci\u00f3 i les tensions entre el cos, la tecnologia i el m\u00f3n.<\/p>\r\n
Les seves obres han estat presentades en exposicions individuals al Museu de la Mediterr\u00e0nia (Torroella de Montgr\u00ed), el Centre C\u00edvic Guinard\u00f3 (Barcelona), el Centre d\u2019Art Can Castells (Sant Boi de Llobregat) i Onkaf Gallery (Nova Delhi), aix\u00ed com en col\u00b7lectives en espais com La Capella, Pinakothek der Moderne (Munic), el Centre d\u2019Art Contemporani La Sala (Vilanova i la Geltr\u00fa) o el Centre C\u00edvic Can Bast\u00e9 (Barcelona).<\/p>\r\n
Ha desenvolupat projectes en resid\u00e8ncies com Piramid\u00f3n Centre d\u2019Art Contemporani, la Casa d\u2019Artistes de Menorca, Lichtenberg Studios (Berl\u00edn), Werkstattwoche (L\u00fcben), Casa R.A.R.O (Barcelona) i Fabra i Coats F\u00e0brica de Creaci\u00f3 (on treballa actualment). En un tiempo anterior al c\u00f3digo, al bit y al algoritmo, ya exist\u00eda una forma r\u00edtmica y binaria de procesar el mundo: el parpadeo. Este gesto fisiol\u00f3gico, m\u00ednimo y constante, constituye la unidad m\u00e1s elemental de nuestra relaci\u00f3n con la imagen. En ese intervalo, el cerebro reorganiza, completa, borra y reescribe lo que ve: compone la mirada. Parpadear es recordar que todav\u00eda somos cuerpo, y no solo interfaz.<\/p>\r\n

Lorena Ruiz (Barcelona, 1991) es artista visual e investigadora. In the Blink of an Eye is a video installation that transforms the exhibition space into an immersive journey through the concept of blinking and the fragility of our vision.<\/p>\r\n
In a time before code, the bit, and the algorithm, there already existed a rhythmic and binary way of processing the world: the blink. This minimal and constant physiological gesture constitutes the most elemental unit of our relationship with the image. In that interval, the brain reorganizes, completes, erases, and rewrites what it sees: it composes vision. To blink is to remember that we are still body, and not only interface.<\/p>\r\n
