Quins efectes emocionals ens genera?\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nCaminant per l\u2019exposici\u00f3, apareixer\u00e0 una altra mena de so, aquell sobre el qual llegim les obres, que prov\u00e9 de la imaginaci\u00f3, de la mem\u00f2ria, d\u2019un concepte, de quelcom oblidat. Pot ser el so de fons, el soroll silenciat, un crit ja sentit.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEscoltem la vibraci\u00f3 que ens interconnecta. Com sonen els cossos i els objectes? Hi ha una freq\u00fc\u00e8ncia comuna a totes les coses?\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nPartint del treball de pensadores com Pauline Oliveros o Laurie Anderson, les obres de Laura Llaneli ens conviden a una escolta atenta, a exercitar aquest sentit tant en el conjunt de la mostra com en cada una de les seves obres de manera selectiva, per poder-ne pensar aix\u00ed tamb\u00e9 les implicacions conceptuals i pol\u00edtiques. La relaci\u00f3 que tenim amb el m\u00f3n \u00e9s fonamentalment visual \u2014en el m\u00f3n occidental urb\u00e0. Tradicionalment, l\u2019art contemporani, visitat en cubs m\u00e9s o menys blancs, incorpora el so amb un cert recel o pensat com a acompanyament o mera \u00abactivaci\u00f3\u00bb temporal. Amb obres fetes durant m\u00e9s d\u2019una d\u00e8cada de treball en aquestes l\u00ednies, l\u2019exposici\u00f3 proposa, de manera individual o col\u00b7lectiva, aprofundir en l\u2019escolta per entendre la riquesa i els matisos del so com a camp po\u00e8tic i art\u00edstic. \u201cUmbral leve\u201d<\/strong> is an exhibition meant to be listened to. But what are the guidelines, the predispositions, the places where we should focus our attention?<\/p>\r\n

Let us activate our listening voluntarily. In the space, the almost imperceptible will emerge \u2014 the whisper, the reverberation, or the silence. What emotional effects do they produce in us?<\/p>\r\n

As we walk through the exhibition, another kind of sound will appear \u2014 the one through which we read the works \u2014 a sound that comes from imagination, from memory, from a concept, from something forgotten. It may be the background noise, the silenced murmur, or a cry once heard.<\/p>\r\n

Let us listen to the vibration that interconnects us. How do bodies and objects sound? Is there a frequency common to all things?<\/p>\r\n

Drawing from the work of thinkers such as Pauline Oliveros and Laurie Anderson, Laura Llaneli\u2019s pieces invite us to attentive listening \u2014 to exercise this sense throughout the exhibition as a whole and within each individual work selectively, in order to also reflect on their conceptual and political implications.<\/p>\r\n

Our relationship with the world is primarily visual \u2014 especially within the urban Western context. Traditionally, contemporary art, displayed in more or less white cubes, incorporates sound somewhat reluctantly, often treating it as accompaniment or mere temporary \u201cactivation.\u201d<\/p>\r\n

With works created over more than a decade of exploration along these lines, the exhibition proposes \u2014 individually and collectively \u2014 to deepen our listening, to grasp the richness and nuances of sound as a poetic and artistic field.
