Durant la seva resid\u00e8ncia al poble de M\u00fasser (Lles de Cerdanya), l\u2019artista es troba amb una hist\u00f2ria tan colpidora que esdev\u00e9 impossible no fer-la present.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">M\u00fasser \u00e9s un poble de poc m\u00e9s de trenta habitants. Hi viu l\u2019Esteve, que t\u00e9 cura d\u2019un grup de cavalls i eugues. Durant l\u2019estada de Priscilla, i amb la voluntat pr\u00e8via de treballar amb p\u00e8l de cavall, l\u2019Esteve guarda algunes cues perqu\u00e8 l\u2019artista pugui comen\u00e7ar a treballar amb el material. Pocs dies despr\u00e9s, una de les eugues cau al riu. L\u2019accident en provoca la mort. Aquest succ\u00e9s inesperat connecta l\u2019artista directament amb un dol familiar no resolt.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aquest esdeveniment esdev\u00e9 el punt de partida de la present exposici\u00f3. A partir d\u2019aquesta experi\u00e8ncia, Priscilla Benyahia materialitza les seves reflexions en un conjunt d\u2019obres que dialoguen principalment amb t\u00e8cniques de cardat, trenat i torsi\u00f3 provinents d\u2019Ait Tizi, a les muntanyes del Djurdjura (Alg\u00e8ria). Aquestes t\u00e8cniques formen part d\u2019un llegat transm\u00e8s i fragmentat al llarg del temps, que Benyahia activa a trav\u00e9s d\u2019una formalitzaci\u00f3 radicalment contempor\u00e0nia.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Des del silenci \u2013 From Silence<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, l\u2019artista treballa amb cabell hum\u00e0, p\u00e8l de cavall i llana d\u2019ovella, combinats amb coure, vidre i transfer\u00e8ncies d\u2019imatges, per explorar els llindars i els espais de pas entre la vida i la mort, entre l\u2019hum\u00e0 i l\u2019animal.<\/span>","desc_es":"","desc_en":"<b>Des del silenci \u2013 From Silence<\/b><b>\r\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by <\/span><b>Priscilla Benyahia<\/b><b>\r\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> curated by <\/span><b>Nerea Campo<\/b>\r\n\r\n<b>Des del silenci \u2013 From Silence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is the exhibition project by artist <\/span><b>Priscilla Benyahia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, recipient of the <\/span><b>REMEIS 2025 grant<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, awarded by Entorns and a cobert in collaboration with <\/span><b>Can Felipa Civic Centre<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">. During her residency in the village of M\u00fasser (Lles de Cerdanya), the artist encountered a story so affecting that it became impossible not to bring it into the work.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">M\u00fasser is a village of just over thirty inhabitants. One of them is Esteve, who takes care of a group of horses and mares. During Priscilla\u2019s stay, and with her prior intention of working with horsehair, Esteve set aside several tails so that the artist could begin working with the material. A few days later, one of the mares fell into the river. The accident caused her death. This unexpected event directly connected the artist to an unresolved family mourning.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This event became the starting point of the exhibition. From this experience, Priscilla Benyahia gives form to a body of work that engages primarily with techniques of carding, braiding and twisting originating in Ait Tizi, in the Djurdjura mountains of Algeria.
