El pintor no necessita endolcir ni embellir la realitat, doncs el seu missatge \u00e9s dur i aspre, i, segurament per aquest motiu, les seves composicions sempre s\u00f3n banyades d\u2019una sensaci\u00f3 que quelcom tremend ha de succeir. La for\u00e7a sense l\u00edmits de la seva pintura ens interpel\u00b7la i convida a la reflexi\u00f3. Aix\u00ed, els interiors tortuosos, els objectes que es retallen en una platja i s\u2019enfronten al\u00a0<em>pathos<\/em>\u00a0de la natura, els paisatges urbans abandonats o els camins solitaris. Tot sembla a punt d\u2019\u00e9sser devorat per una tempesta que sacseja l\u2019espectador. La s\u00e8rie recorrent sobre els bombardejos explora aquesta mateixa pot\u00e8ncia de la destrucci\u00f3 com a for\u00e7a generadora d\u2019una nova realitat.\r\n\r\nLa llum crepuscular permet a Vil\u00e0 recrear-se en la consecuci\u00f3 de contrasts a trav\u00e9s d\u2019ombres i de gruixos mat\u00e8rics, aix\u00ed com aportar un to existencial i vibrant que connecta amb la pintura metaf\u00edsica italiana que tant admira. Aquesta llum \u2013 entre el misteri i el malson \u2013 ho cobreix tot i esdev\u00e9 una eina que activa la reflexi\u00f3 sobre la fisicitat de la mat\u00e8ria, a m\u00e9s de la meditaci\u00f3 a l\u2019entorn de la temporalitat. No necessita cap an\u00e8cdota ni cap hist\u00f2ria, nom\u00e9s l\u2019objecte desborda i impressiona per ell mateix, i la seva personalitat i vigor s\u00f3n adquirits a trav\u00e9s de la pintura pura. Vil\u00e0 defensa escrupolosament l\u2019ofici i, per sobre de tot, s\u2019erigeix com un defensor de la pintura com a llenguatge. Per ell, la pintura \u00e9s un refugi davant del m\u00f3n hostil que l\u2019envolta, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 l\u2019arma m\u00e9s h\u00e0bil i segura enfront l\u2019adversitat.
