Les seves composicions escult\u00f2riques interroguen les realitats que ens envolten i exploren la capacitat de l\u2019objecte performatiu per crear nous imaginaris.\r\n\r\nArtefactes aut\u00f2noms, m\u00e0quines absurdes que cobren vida, organismes tecnol\u00f2gics\u2026 Un desig ansi\u00f3s i mecanitzat de relacionar-se amb l\u2019entorn uneix els seus objectes. La idea de mat\u00e8ria viva mecanitzada i rudiment\u00e0ria en l\u2019era ultratecnol\u00f2gica actual. La m\u00e0quina que no adquireix un rol funcional, sin\u00f3 imaginari sobre les nostres vides. Partint d\u2019un context de crisi socioclim\u00e0tica, la seva obra ofereix una mirada cr\u00edtica a la concepci\u00f3 occidental d\u2019all\u00f2 que \u00e9s natural, i busca la creaci\u00f3 de noves narratives que ens ajudin a redefinir la nostra relaci\u00f3 amb l\u2019entorn.\r\n\r\n<a href=\"https:\/\/hangar.org\/ca\/residents\/artistes-residents\/alicia-arevalo\/\">Ali Ar\u00e9valo<\/a>\u00a0(Resid\u00e8ncia estada llarga)\r\n\r\nAli Ar\u00e9valo \u00e9s artista, investigadore i docent. La seva pr\u00e0ctica imagina futurs no binaris, queer i interesp\u00e8cie en alian\u00e7a amb la tecnologia. Genera arqueologies temporals que connecten passat i futur, creant mons de fantasia com a eina emancipadora per a la dissid\u00e8ncia. Aix\u00ed, construeix universos que prenen forma de relats sonors, performatius, audiovisuals, textuals i escult\u00f2rics. Un exercici d\u2019imaginaci\u00f3 vertebra i desmunta la seva obra per entreveure temps que es retorcen en temporalitats no lineals. Ar\u00e9valo treballa amb la fragilitat dels materials i explora biomaterials que evoquen crostes, pells i fragments vius: criatures h\u00edbrides i enganxoses. A trav\u00e9s d\u2019aquestes, aborda la vulnerabilitat i la mutabilitat dels cossos. En la seva obra s\u2019hi desplega un imaginari de transformacions, portes, llindars, claus i hibridacions fant\u00e0stiques que ens conviden a somiar altres mons. El seu enfocament, alhora ut\u00f2pic i pragm\u00e0tic, consisteix a imaginar eines cr\u00edtiques, ficcions joioses i solucions concretes per esbossar els contorns de mons desitjables. Through this, they construct universes that take the form of soundscapes, performances, audiovisual pieces, texts, and sculptures. Imagination serves as both the backbone and dismantling force of their work, allowing them to explore times twisted into nonlinear temporalities. Ar\u00e9valo works with the fragility of materials, experimenting with biomaterials that evoke scabs, skins, and living fragments\u2014hybrid, sticky creatures. Through these elements, they address the vulnerability and mutability of bodies.
