Aquesta exposici\u00f3 reuneix Jet Snaith i Leonie Gemsj\u00e4ger no a partir d\u2019una semblan\u00e7a formal, sin\u00f3 des d\u2019una afinitat m\u00e9s precisa: totes dues treballen en el moment en qu\u00e8 all\u00f2 familiar es torna inestable. En ambdues pr\u00e0ctiques hi ha una ruptura del gui\u00f3, tot i que cadascuna l\u2019aborda des de registres radicalment diferents. Jet ho fa des de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 del jo i el sarcasme; Leonie, des de la contenci\u00f3 i una inquietud silenciosa. Jet empeny cap enfora, Leonie cap endins. When the house doesn\u2019t quite protect us, memory refuses to be filed away, femininity won\u2019t fit the part it\u2019s been given and the image stops obeying the clarity expected of it. This exhibition brings together Jet Snaith and Leonie Gemsj\u00e4ger not on the basis of formal similarity, but through a more precise affinity: both work at the moment when the familiar becomes unstable. In both practices there is a rupture of the script, although each approaches it from radically different registers. Jet does so through self-exposure and sarcasm; Leonie, through restraint and a quiet unease. Jet pushes outwards, Leonie inwards.
