La naturalesa mateixa de la cera permet a l\u2019artista habitar aquest espai liminar i assenyalar aquest lloc intermedi.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El proc\u00e9s mateix \u00e9s el que dictamina l\u2019esdevenir de les peces: cobrir, cosir, superposar, deixar que els materials es barregin i es transformin. La cera fixa, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 difumina; la tela protegeix i deixa passar; el fil uneix fragments i marca recorreguts. Res no es mostra del tot, per\u00f2 tampoc no s\u2019amaga completament. Cada obra queda suspesa en aquest punt on la imatge apareix i desapareix alhora.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El proc\u00e9s esdev\u00e9 aix\u00ed una forma de velar: no per ocultar, sin\u00f3 per cuidar, per alentir la mirada i permetre que all\u00f2 que hi ha a sota romangui latent. Los materiales, con sus propias cualidades, marcan el ritmo del trabajo y abren peque\u00f1as grietas donde lo visible se vuelve incierto.<\/span>","desc_en":"<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following a period of play and experimentation, including his participation in our residency, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lenta<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Carlos Herraiz works with materials such as wax, fabric, thread, and paper to explore the idea of the veil as an ambiguous territory between hiding and revealing. The nature of wax itself allows the artist to inhabit this liminal space and to point towards that intermediate place.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The process determines the development of the pieces: covering, sewing, layering, allowing the materials to mix and transform. Wax fixes, but also blurs; fabric protects while letting things pass through; thread joins fragments and traces paths. Nothing is fully shown, but nothing is entirely hidden either. Each work remains suspended at the point where the image appears and disappears at the same time.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The process thus becomes a form of veiling: not in order to hide, but to care, to slow down the gaze, and to allow what lies beneath to remain latent.
