Lluny d\u2019una lectura nost\u00e0lgica o merament evocadora, el cicle aborda els imaginaris estivencs com un conjunt de formes culturals \u2014visuals, corporals, gastron\u00f2miques i afectives\u2014 que permeten revisar la relaci\u00f3 entre territori, identitat i cultura popular.\r\n\r\nEl sopar-performance\u00a0 de Jordi Mitj\u00e0<\/strong> Amb pijama o sense<\/em> vol rememorar els bars de platja i, alhora, els grans menjadors populars dels anys setanta, a trav\u00e9s d\u2019unes menges que els reten homenatge. Es proposa un men\u00fa fred i festiu per celebrar el nostre pijama, unes postres catalanes que van marcar tota una \u00e8poca.\r\nAvui gaireb\u00e9 desaparegut de les nostres taules, el pijama mant\u00e9, d\u2019alguna manera, un vincle amb el tamb\u00e9 c\u00e8lebre Peach Melba, creat per Auguste Escoffier l\u2019any 1893 a l\u2019Hotel Savoy de Londres en homenatge a la cantant d\u2019\u00f2pera Nellie Melba.\r\nL\u2019any 1951, al restaurant 7 Portes de Barcelona, Paco Parellada va recrear aquell c\u00e8lebre Peach Melba arran d\u2019un malent\u00e8s fon\u00e8tic i ling\u00fc\u00edstic. Uns soldats estatunidencs haurien demanat un Peach Melba, per\u00f2 a la cuina es va entendre \u2014o interpretar\u2014 aquell nom com a \u00abpijama\u00bb. Se propone un men\u00fa fr\u00edo y festivo para celebrar nuestro pijama, un postre catal\u00e1n que marc\u00f3 toda una \u00e9poca.<\/p>\r\n

Hoy pr\u00e1cticamente desaparecido de nuestras mesas, el pijama mantiene, de alg\u00fan modo, un v\u00ednculo con el tambi\u00e9n c\u00e9lebre Peach Melba, creado por Auguste Escoffier en 1893 en el Hotel Savoy de Londres en homenaje a la cantante de \u00f3pera Nellie Melba.<\/p>\r\n

En 1951, en el restaurante 7 Portes de Barcelona, Paco Parellada recre\u00f3 aquel c\u00e9lebre Peach Melba a ra\u00edz de un malentendido fon\u00e9tico y ling\u00fc\u00edstico. Unos soldados estadounidenses habr\u00edan pedido un Peach Melba, pero en la cocina se entendi\u00f3 \u2014o se interpret\u00f3\u2014 aquel nombre como \u00abpijama\u00bb. Summer Vestiges 2026<\/strong> brings together the projects of Carles Congos<\/strong>t and Jordi Mitj\u00e0 through a shared field of tension: summer understood as a stage for memory, fiction, sociability, and symbolic decline. Far from a nostalgic or merely evocative reading, the programme approaches summer imaginaries as a set of cultural forms\u2014visual, bodily, gastronomic, and affective\u2014that allow us to reconsider the relationship between territory, identity, and popular culture.<\/p>\r\n

Jordi Mitj\u00e0\u2019<\/strong>s dinner-performance, With Pajama or Without It,<\/em> seeks to evoke both the beach bars and the large popular dining halls of the 1970s through a selection of dishes that pay tribute to them. A cold and festive menu is proposed to celebrate the Pijama<\/em>, a traditional Catalan dessert that marked an entire era.<\/p>\r\n

Today, almost disappeared from our tables, the Pijama<\/em> still retains a connection to the equally famous Peach Melba<\/em>, created by Auguste Escoffier in 1893 at London\u2019s Savoy Hotel in honour of the opera singer Nellie Melba.<\/p>\r\n

In 1951, at Barcelona\u2019s 7 Portes restaurant, Paco Parellada recreated the celebrated Peach Melba<\/em> following a phonetic and linguistic misunderstanding. A group of American soldiers reportedly ordered a Peach Melba, but in the kitchen the name was heard\u2014or interpreted\u2014as \u201cPijama\u201d.
