El trabajo de Kensuke Koike parte de un principio estricto: intervenir una fotograf\u00eda existente sin a\u00f1adir ni eliminar ning\u00fan elemento. A partir de im\u00e1genes encontradas en mercadillos y archivos, el artista corta, desplaza y recompone sus fragmentos hasta alterar por completo su sentido. Sus piezas provocan sorpresa y desconcierto, pero sobre todo cuestionan nuestra forma de mirar. Al alterar la estructura visual, Koike quiebra la continuidad del espacio, la estabilidad del rostro y la correspondencia entre representaci\u00f3n y realidad. Kensuke Koike\u2019s work is grounded in a strict principle: intervening in an existing photograph without adding or removing any element. Working with images found in flea markets and archives, the artist cuts, shifts and recomposes their fragments until their meaning is completely transformed. His works provoke surprise and disorientation, but above all, they challenge the way we look. By altering the visual structure, Koike disrupts the continuity of space, the stability of the face, and the correspondence between representation and reality.
