EL MORERA. The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Lleida is a public service whose mission is to promote knowledge about modern and contemporary art. It has a collection that includes multiple artistic languages and that allows the art of the 20th and 21st centuries to be explained from a decentralized perspective, which enriches general readings.
EL MORERA guards an art collection representative of the main trends and different areas of modern and contemporary artistic creation in the territorial area, where Lleida exerts its cultural influence. It also incorporates pieces from the Catalan and Spanish contexts that allow the works of Lleida artists to be adequately contextualized and establish a dialogue between them.
