Fundació Sorigué

The Fundació Sorigué promotes the vocation for giving back of the Sorigué business group and carries out activities in the social, cultural, and educational spheres. It is especially recognized for its work in promoting contemporary art through various activities and exhibitions.

The exhibitions of Fundació Sorigué are known for reflecting current social and environmental concerns, with the aim of encouraging reflection through contemporary art. The foundation’s educational and informative vocation is expressed through a wide range of educational activities accompanying each exhibition, as well as through an active policy of lending works to national and international institutions.

Since the year 2000, it has been building one of the most renowned private contemporary art collections in Spain. Today, the collection includes more than 450 works by prominent national and international artists, including highly acclaimed figures such as Anselm Kiefer, William Kentridge, Bill Viola, Juan Muñoz, Oscar Muñoz, Mat Collishaw, Chuck Close, Anish Kapoor, Antonio López, Daniel Richter, Cristina Iglesias, Antony Gormley, and Julie Mehretu, among others.

Recognition for its work has come in the form of awards such as the “A” Prize for Corporate Collection from ARCO Madrid 2025, the Art and Patronage Award from the “La Caixa” Foundation in 2015, and the GAC Award for Collecting in 2017.
