927 days. 456 people. 88 films. Oscar Moya Villanueva

As part of Panoràmic 2026 and its curatorial focus Burning with Desire, Oscar Moya Villanueva draws on materials held in the Arxiu Municipal de Granollers to explore the relationship between cinema, desire and power.

Through film programmes, posters and other documents related to the city’s cinemas during the Spanish Civil War and the dictatorship, the artist examines how images and films can reflect the political and social changes of a particular period.

The installation brings together fragments of this cinematic memory, connecting them with the violence and transformation experienced by the city. It also reflects on the power of images to shape what we desire, imagine and remember.
