Always Franco. Spanish Brand

ADN Galeria presents “Always Franco. Spain Brand”, the new exhibition by Eugenio Merino.
The installation reflects on historical memory and on how the Spain Brand —that narrative of colorful modernity, openness, and reconciliation— was built upon the impunity of Francoist crimes and the whitewashing of its legacy. Originally conceived in 2012, “Always Franco” returns on the 90th anniversary of the 1936 coup d’état and the 50th anniversary of the dictator’s death, at a moment marked by a broad and diverse debate around the material and immaterial persistence of his legacy.
The opening will take place on June 13 at 12 pm at ADN Galeria.
