Some of Rita Sala’s painted landscapes are the result of tracing and locating paths and becoming familiar with a specific rural area (Fulleda, Lleida). Walking around these places becomes a tool for visualization and research, for embracing these landscapes; landscapes the artist also works on by taking notes and meditating on the relationships between space and time.

All these and other elements, then, have helped to shape this exhibition.The show invites us to accompany the artist, to plunge in and contemplate, at different rhythms, these walks along paths, through forests or across country.

And so the work becomes a walk; we can follow or stay behind, according to the wind, heat or light. This is a space in which to stop and breathe.
