Carlos Casas. Deserts 1.0

In his new audiovisual project, Carlos Casas attempts to decipher the connections between physical and mental space, expanding the concept of desert as a representation of the state of the world and the current ecological crisis.

The project is inspired by the composition Déserts by Edgar Varèse (Paris 1922 – New York 1966), considered by many to be the godfather of electronic music. The project was never realized, becoming a kind of myth of what could have been a first audiovisual composition questioning the relationship between image and music.
