"De riu a riu. Bicicletada Manifesta 15 Barcelona Metropolitana"

As part of Manifesta 15, the European Nomadic Biennial focused on artistic and urban interventions, a major Bicicletada, or bike ride, is being organised for its 15th edition. This will be a singular opportunity to cycle from river to river, crossing the Port of Barcelona and part of the city’s metropolitan coastline. With the aim of connecting the neighbourhoods of La Marina and Ciutat Vella, as well as the Besòs and Llobregat rivers, this initiative promotes sustainable mobility and an environment where citizens can enjoy safe and accessible public spaces, while also highlighting some of the opportunities for the city.

Join us on Saturday, 9th November 2024 at 10.30, for a collective bike ride along the city’s coastline and experience the future connection of the Morrot area. Starting from the former riverbed of the Llobregat River, the ride will pass through the currently restricted area of the Port (opening specially for us), offering participants the chance to explore this off-limits space and to reconnect with their coastline.

The route will continue along Barcelona’s coastline, highlighting the need to address the existing disconnection between the two rivers, and will end at the Three Chimneys of Sant Adrià de Besòs, one of the main venues of Manifesta 15. Participants can join at any of the five points marked on the map, and on arrival at the Three Chimneys can enjoy a drink and DJ set by DJ Que Baila.

DJ Que Baila delivers an eclectic mix, blending a wide variety of musical genres in his sets. His performances take listeners on a journey through the history of dance music, covering rock, electronic, hip hop, funk, reggaeton, disco, Latin music and more. Each session is designed with the dance floor in mind, ensuring a high-energy experience centred on having a good time.

De riu a riu is in collaboration with Biciclot and BACC and supported by Zone Franca, the Port of Barcelona, the Ajuntament of Barcelona and the Ajutament of Sant Adrià de Besòs.
