Digital After All 3

An exhibition, a festival and a celebration of digitality

For the third consecutive year, the central halls of La Tabacalera host Digital After All, an event dedicated to digital arts that brings together immersive installations, audiovisual performances, guided tours and musical vermouth sessions. From May 14 to 17, 2026, the space becomes a journey where mapping, sculptural light installations, video, robots, sound and audiovisual experiences coexist.

Curated by Antònia Folguera, curator at Sónar+D, this edition opens a window onto a world where technology, heritage, landscape and human identity intersect. The works move between sensory experience and critical reflection on our relationship with an increasingly digitalised environment: from the digital reinterpretation of Romanesque art to the limits of artificial intelligence, environmental violence and collective behaviour.

This third edition brings together five projects that approach the digital from very different perspectives: “Lux Mundi”, by Alba G. Corral, Desilence, Hamill Industries and MASSO, reinterprets the Romanesque frescoes of Sant Climent de Taüll through light, digital imagery and a musical composition by Tarta Relena; “Cascade”, by Marc Vilanova, transforms the infrasound of waterfalls into a walkable light architecture; “Slow Violence”, by Hamill Industries, makes the slow environmental violence of the Anthropocene perceptible; “A Needle in a Haystack”, by Varvara & Mar, sets a robot the task of searching for a needle in a haystack — literally — to reflect on the limits of artificial intelligence; and “Eixam”, by Col·lectiu Axolot, deploys small robots to explore collective behaviours and self-organised systems. All at once, in the same place.
