Tuesdays of video / FLUX SUMMA: Handy Punk Docs
Handy Punk Docs 2001-2024. Memory and musical dismemory of Barcelona is a document that collects fragments of performances recorded by Gonzalo Marcuzzi during all these years, a mainly musical collage with the presence of scenic arts such as performance or street theatre.
Undergound? Countercultural, possibly to be in the streets, popular and without big names. Shows and concerts since 2001, in popular neighbourhood festivals, in mini-theatres and performance pieces from the same base.
Handy Punk Docs makes a clear reference to the hand-held camera from the first minute, there is not much delicacy or the slightest prudence, they are consciously neglected documents where spontaneity predominates.
It’s a compilation extracted in mini-blocks of approximately one minute, with more than thirty artists, bands, performers and people making art in 90% of the streets of Barcelona. It has the added value that many of these shows and performances were unique, and many of these people and bands no longer exist. One of the Barcelonas that are ceasing to exist in the last 25 years.
With the participation of Murnau B, Endora y sus Vicios, Th’Booty Hunters, Gatillazo, ECM Electrónica Cuerpo Música, Jello Biafra and The Guantanamo School of Medicine, La URSS, Pentina’t Lula, Berta Puigdemasa, Coàgul, La Clika Pica, Def Con Dos, Joan Colomo, New Model Army, Los Monjo, Las manos de Filippi, Vinila von Bismark and the Lucky Dados, Niña Coyote eta chico Tornado, Xarim Aresté, Sandré, Rage to Antonio Machine, Parkinson and Gürtel Club, among others.
