DISTENSIONS #4 CORAL

Distensions wants to generate a meeting space where the artists selected in Art Jove Creació share a taste of the doubts and work processes made over the course of the year. Within the museum, we will participate in the elaboration of a set of ideas and reflections regarding young artistic production and the diverse ways of doing.

In this fourth edition, the artists invite us to place our voices at the centre, paying attention to the chorality of our stories. We look from the inside out, but also from the outside in. Neighbours, strangers and friends stop or pass by, a silent dialogue becomes evident in a reflection: a fragile frame, an invisible barrier that separates or unites. The event brings together a series of actions that want to encapsulate the desire to communicate: to speak, to agree or disagree, to invite or question dialogue from different places and practices.

Distensions is a collective, open and annual meeting that takes place at MACBA as part of the collaboration with Sala d’Art Jove.
