The Legacy of Yago Conde. A conversation with David Bestué and Blanca Pujals

The death of Yago Conde in 1994, at the age of 37, shortly after completing his doctoral thesis, cut short his career in architectural thought. His passing was followed by a long silence around his work. In his thesis, titled “Architecture of Indeterminacy,” Conde proposed an understanding of architecture as a field of states of suspension and indeterminacy, questioning its fixed boundaries and opening the project up to multiple, non-predetermined relationships.

To mark the closing of the exhibition “States of Indeterminacy,” we propose a conversation with the artist David Bestué and the architect and researcher Blanca Pujals to recover and rethink the legacy of Yago Conde, drawing connections between his research and contemporary artistic and architectural practices.
