Elena Rocabert. Solo Exhibition

Following the second edition of our LENTA residency, Elena Rocabert presents her first solo exhibition at BETA Contemporary, developed from the process carried out during her stay at Casa Pardal. The exhibition explores a return to painting and to metal as a surface of inscription, where repetition, incision and subtraction articulate a sustained inquiry into the tension between light and darkness. The opening will take place on Thursday, February 12, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

LENTA is a residency centred on slowness and on process as a form of listening and ongoing research. Conceived as a space to deepen artistic practice without the pressure of an immediate outcome, the residency encourages dialogue between context, material and thought, accompanying each artist in the organic and situated development of a body of work.
