Complementary activity. Talk "The image beyond representation".

As part of the exhibition ‘Observation of black holes’, the Higo Mental collective proposes a session that reflects on the axes that have crossed their project in the last ten years. Both in its contents – internet as an archive, infrastructures and anti-fascism, the image beyond representation – and in its forms – creation and collective experience, presence or feminist self-management. Throughout the session, the audiovisual materials that will make up the index of a future choral publication will appear.

Higo Mental (Ricardo Pérez-Hita and Marta Sesé) is a collective born in 2014 that develops, from artistic practice and social research, a body of critical thinking around images and imaginaries, particularly focused on the visual culture and the Internet Archive.
