Hypopressive. Leo Burge

Hypopressive brings together reliefs, drawings, and process fragments. Some have been assembled on handmade frames, others in prototype display cases or showcases. They are generally structured in relation to each other, although they require a certain degree of autonomy.

They interact with the light to which the slits in the paper and the folds in the metal are sensitive. Some can be viewed as one would contemplate the horizon, or a panoramic view from the top of an urban peak, even revealing the curvature of the earth and the buildings and figures as mere hints of a plot. In effect, it is a change of scale that often incites me to work.
