Marina Arias, a contemporary artist, was born in 1987 in the vibrant country of Argentina. Hailing from the picturesque city of Salta, nestled at the foothills of the majestic Andes Mountains, her upbringing was steeped in the stunning natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage of the region.

Growing up in Salta, Marina found herself captivated by the awe-inspiring beauty of the Puna de Atacama, a high plateau that stretches across the Andean region. At an astonishing altitude of 4,500 meters above sea level, the Puna de Atacama boasts a unique and otherworldly landscape characterized by arid soils and volcanic rocks. It is within these textures and hues that Marina discovered a profound wellspring of inspiration for her artistic endeavors.

Drawing from the captivating qualities of the Puna de Atacama, Marina skillfully incorporates the distinct textures and visual elements of the arid soils and volcanic rocks into her artwork. Through her masterful use of color palettes, she creates dynamic compositions that reflect the raw beauty and ethereal essence of the natural world. Marina’s work often evokes a sense of contemplation and reverence for the harmonious coexistence of humanity and nature.

In addition to her deep connection to the natural world, Marina’s passion for art was further nurtured by her educational background. She pursued studies in interior design and furnishing, acquiring a unique perspective on the spatial dynamics and sensory experiences that shape our daily lives. This holistic understanding allows Marina to infuse her artwork with a deep appreciation for the interplay between aesthetics and functionality, creating pieces that not only captivate the eye but also resonate on a visceral level.

Marina’s artistic journey has taken her beyond the borders of her homeland, as she embarked on a new chapter in her life in 2022. She now resides in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain, where she continues to draw inspiration from her surroundings and expand her artistic horizons.

Marina Arias invites viewers to embark on a visual and emotional journey, presenting them with a unique perspective on the world we inhabit. Her work serves as a reminder of the profound beauty that can be found in even the harshest and most desolate landscapes, inviting us to appreciate and protect the fragile balance of our planet.
